AI Dungeon – Imagine a world that you could explore infinitely

[Game] AI Dungeon

AI DungeonAI Dungeon : Imagine a world that you could explore infinitely, continually finding an endless amount of entirely new content and adventures.

What if you could also choose any action you can think of instead of being limited by the imagination of the developers who created the game?

This is AI Dungeon.

Any action you take, anything you choose to say, anywhere you choose to go, in any time period you want to play – there’s an infinite number of adventures waiting.

AI Dungeon is the first limitless text adventure game of its kind built with extremely advanced artificial intelligence using a massive deep neural network at its core.

AI Dungeon user reviews :

Pretty nice, even with clogged servers. It almost seems intelligent like 50% of the time. Tends to get caught up with attempting to rush the story along a little. But I guess that’s how a lot of text based games used to be. Can’t wait for an official offline PC version, should it be made. Needs to have some scenarios censored. One game had me rubbing my body all over a cave wall. Another had me kissing a random guy in the woods as I met him. I killed him.

I love the idea. I can definitely see potential, with it being in its early stages this good already, i can’t imagine what it’s like in the future. Keep up the good work! Some suggestions: Font being more customisable (Size, Font,…), an option to save/copy everything. The AI did a grammar error, not sure if it was an exception or just in general, it doesnt use “an” apple, but outputted “a” apple (just an example, different in the actual case of where it happened)

A mixed bag for me. I absolutely loved the idea of this, but I was disappointed by quickly discovering the limitations of the game. Despite my creative and eloquent responses, the AI frequently got stuck in loops (e.g. Telling me I kept hearing a noise outside the cave, even though I’d already left the cave.). This happened three times, and I found it too frustrating to continue. One good thing was that it allowed me to work on my improv, prompting me to co-create a story on the fly.

Sometimes it’s eerily good — you’d think there’s a human writer responding. Sometimes it has pronoun trouble (confusing me with the other character). Sometimes it starts off one way and then goes in the opposite direction (“No, it’s not dangerous. Yes, it’s very dangerous.”) And once it started saying nonsense — just random words and nonwords. But the good responses have impressed me enough to keep coming back. I look forward to seeing how it hopefully improves over time.

Good enough to impress. The game experience is dependent on the AI learning I could guess, and thus I know that some of the flaws I experienced, the next player might not. And people before me, likely had worse bugs, but even then I think the concept and the gameplay was quite entertaining, especially for a simple phone game. Ps. Can be rated M for mature. Be careful what you write.

It’s a great game. I’ve been looking for a game like this for a long time. However it has a lot of bugs. I sort of expected bugs with this kind of game, but it’s just crazy. Characters randomly stabbing themselves, randomly inserting characters as if they’ve always been there, characters not understanding size such as a huge dragon going into a house.

For what this is, it is amazing. Things I didn’t think it would understand or process it does immensely well! Super fun, I love dungeons and dragons and this is an amazing single player version. Of course not as in depth but it’s fun. I’d have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the glitches of it some time repeating the same thing over and over kinds ruining a session. As well it doesn’t always get what you want but that’s being super picky. This is amazing and I am enjoying it. Especially free

AI Dungeon on mobile has been amazing! It certainly is an upgrade from the Colab version! As it is still developing I won’t make comments on it’s missing features. It creates some amazing stories, especially if you decide to get into a lot of details with your actions. I find the best way to respond with words is to mix in a few actions as to help the AI know what you intend. Perhaps even that will improve, and I have faith it will! A fun game for text adventure enthusiasts!
