Openvpn user reviews :

Issues with split vpn while connected LTE/5G. I can connect to my remote, but no internet flows once connected. Works fine while WiFi. Not sure if I am missing some setting or configuration. Other than that it works.

I bought PIA years ago but their lame app doesn’t recognize Gmail in the app list for split tunnel! Huh? OpenVPN’s split tunnel feature is flawless. I still connect to a PIA server but this app is far better.

Tried some configurations that work with OpenVPN Connect, but they all failed. OTP option does not seem to work.

If you’re having authentication issues with your ASUS router, change the compatibility mode to 2.3 and older. I reached out to the developers on my issues and after very quick replies back and forth this was discovered. Support was fast and excellent! This app works perfectly! Many thanks to Arne for the help!

I need the split tunneling which is not supported in the official OpenVPN app so I downloaded this one and it works flawlessly. Very nice. But the UI is a bit out dated which doesn’t matter that much.

Had some problems with the official openvpn app, this one works flawlessly with any country servers. Thanks to developers

Excellent app, great while travelling paired with a well maintained OpenVPN server at home. The interface makes sense. Most options are present, along with a Custom Options section to introduce options that aren’t available in the UI. No bloat, and plenty of function. Thanks for a job well done. Eventually I’d like to see an option to configure under “Connect on boot” or similar that automatically connects to the VPN when a given list of networks or access points are *not* connected to, so while OpenVPN for Android might be connected all the time, it will avoid causing double-nat-VPN issues when already connected to a secure network.

What is wrong with this App? It works well, then an updater, and the imported files don’t work. Even new ones fail. So you have to go back to an earlier version. Then a few updates later you can upgrade and it works. Recurring pattern. I like it for its configurability but watch it with these updates please. It drives me crazy. Follow up 5 months later. I still cannot use any version of this App after January 2022. I use that version. All later versions exit and won’t accept any profiles. Sad

  • Can you get into contact with me and give me a more detailed bug report via email or github so we can resolve the issue for you?

Great app. If it doesn’t work for you, check your compatibility settings. That was the only thing that confused me for a while.

Had a problem configuring a profile to work with asus router generated .opvn file – but it was my mistake. The file needs to be imported as a new profile. All good now.

thanks a lot. i like this version but I’m looking for server override in your app and i could not find it. plz help me where can i find it? in other version there is place with server override name. you can use extra adress and its optional.

Just a great oVPN implementation, easy to use and well maintained. The shortcuts in the pull down menu are great!
