Dead Shell : Blaster-wielding mercenaries vs beasts from the labyrinth: who will win?

You’re commanding a die-hard assault squad. Destination: Plutonia, a settlement on a Doom-4 class planet. Shuttle cargo: a range of lethal weapons, from axes and chainsaws to blasters and BFGs. Anything might come in handy in Plutonia, the Federation’s most remote colony.

Scientists, miners, guards – all sorts of civilian personnel worked there until recently. A week ago, the Center received a mayday signal from the settlement. Demonic roars and screams of terror filled the comm channel, and then it fell dead silent.

It’s time to descend into the infernal abyss and show the demons who’s the boss here. Fight your way through all the circles of hell to reach the very bottom. Look cosmic evil in the face and emerge victorious.

Very cool game! Every mercenary brings something new to the table. I honestly thought the game was going to get boring and that I would’ve done pretty much everything. The complete opposite has been true. I’m around sector 300 and the game is still introducing new weapons and new monsters to slay! It would be nice tho if there was an easier way to earn gold instead of buying it because once you level up enough it takes forever to get enough gold though traditional gameplay.

Many thanks for your kind words and suggestions, Matthew! You can gain more credits as a daily reward, for completing quests, in rooms etc. If you watch the ads it’ll double your reward. Anyway, we’ll take into account your remarks.

The core gameplay is solid, with a good selection of characters, weapons and encounters, but is severely limited by the incredibly frugal in-game economy. Both leveling up characters and upgrading weapons requires credits, and while both of these actions quickly become very expensive, the currency drops remain low no matter how far through the game you get. This seems like either a huge oversight in the game’s design, or a deliberate attempt to monetise the game.

Lots of potential here, and with some polish it’ll be great! It definitely gets tough quick, but with proper weapon usage I’ve progressed a little better. Cost to upgrade are not balanced to the gold drop rate, so upgrading is a grind. That said, it’s a fun little time waster.

200+ levels in and I haven’t reached a brick wall requiring microtransactions yet, which speaks volumes for the game. I love it so far, and while it is a bit disheartening having to wait to level up characters for a long time, I am still having fun and it still feels fair yet challenging. I look forward to updates and additional content!

Fun little game with good music. A bit grindy, though. Things are unlocked rather slowly. Edit: So, after playing past level 400, nothing seems survivable anymore. The high costs of upgrades and low cash drops eventually turns the game unplayable. Needs a reset option so we can retry without wasteful upgrades. I’ve got over 2k gas canisters for chainsaws I will never use, but I don’t have a bit of plasma for the big guns, and AP ammo is still rare.

Excellent 16 bit linear dungeon crawler. The only complaint I have is that there are a little too much of the enemies per level and the hero regen takes too long at higher levels. Other than that I have no complaints this game is great definitely a time killer if anything.
