Eyeprint App Lock : Free App Lock for 30 days – using the most advanced biometric available on smartphones.
Eyeprint App Lock : Available on the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, Note 2 and the HTC One!
– NOW USING THE FRONT FACING CAMERA
Secure and protect your most private and confidential apps with the amazing scientific power of eye vein biometrics – The Eyeprint!
Be the first to try the brand new beta of this safety and security app from EyeVerify. Protect your privacy by locking your messages, banking app, photos, SMS or contacts.
You can choose the apps you want to lock, leaving less important apps open for easy access by you, your kids, or anyone who might borrow your Galaxy S3 or other compatible device.
When you launch the Eyeprint App Lock Beta – you will enroll your own Eyeprint by taking your picture with the front facing camera. Then only you can access your locked apps. Eyeprints are unique to you, no other person in the world has the same Eyeprints as you do. Just like your unique DNA or fingerprints – only better – because this works using your phone. When you take a picture of your face using the app, we use the unique vein patterns in the corner of your eyes to create and match you unique Eyeprints.
This is our very first beta, and we’d love to hear your feedback – just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Eyeprint App Lock user reviews :
Went thru process. Tried using to unlock apps. Keeps saying..at same time…move eyes closer.. look up to left. Vibrates. Maybe because I wear glasses? Uninstall!
Spams the hell out of logcat and then dies with “I/ActivityManager( 2343): Process com.eyeverify.applock.eyeverify (pid 4375) (adj 0) has died.” It never even gets far enough into the app for me to do anything with it. I surely wouldn’t trust it to grant access to any apps, let alone be responsible for unlocking my phone. It cant even manage to run without crashing.
Took a dozen tries to even set up, it kept crashing. Then when I was actually a Le to use it to unlock an app, I found that the app was no longer protected when I exited and went back in. Apparently you need to re select the app to lock each time you open them. Very poor, even for a beta release. Nice concept, needs tons more work.
It works, but shining my Galaxy S3 light straight into my eyes is pretty unpleasant. It allows it to work with low ambient lighting though, so I suppose it can be forgiven. Plus the description says it’ll be less bright in the future.
