Gold and Goblins user reviews :

Has potential to be a solid game, however at the moment it stalls very quickly. You get dragged down by needing to upgrade your managers for all your mine carts on every single level. Your forge ends up being pretty much useless after the first mine cart gets going. I already spent $5 on the game 2 mines ago and am already stalled at one mine level before I can even participate in the event. I’m going to keep this and play at least once a day, but I think it could definitely use some tweaks.

Goblins should have AI and move about/mine themselves. I think this should even happen offline too, because in it’s current state, the game is far too tedious and slow.. I dont want to feel like I need to check in on it every 20 minutes or so just to move a goblin one square to the left or something… It would be great to come back every few hours to see how much of the mine the goblins have cleared by themselves. If this sort of offline progression existed, it would be a solid 5 stars from me

The idea is good, a merger idle miner game…. it could be great but it loses appeal fast. With the slow pace from mine 5 to 6 where you wait ages to get through to the next stage….. what I don’t get is why reset the points every level? It’s senseless. Without a better update where you keep your coin the next level, I don’t see this game going very far…. as far as idlers go, this is the worst game yet…. even as far as merge games go it’s not very good. It’s wait and see at this point ..

It’s a very fun game good at passing time and (in my experience) never hit a wall where you have to pay for time skips to advance. It seems fair with how long things take even if you haven’t got money to put it. Only slight niggle is sometimes you can’t tell which card is activated on the mines (since there’s more than 1 for each mine). Would be nice to be able to click the mines after automation to see which ones equipped so its easier to upgrade that one. Other than that very good

  • Thank you for the review! You cannot choose between common and ncommon managers, as a mine needs a certain tyoe or it. It seems it is not very clear, so we will improve the tutorial!
Mixed feelings. + It’s visually fun for a idle game. Also nice to have to position the idle mining goblins instead of just powering up some fixed asset. Progression for levels is nice because it feels satisfying to move to a new mine every few days. – One area for improvement would be a reason to progress in the main game vs the events. The events give you rewards, but main game progress in no way effects events. The don’t tie very well. TLDR, I’ll continue to play and see what happens.

Excellent game. Reminds me of Dungeon keeper. Mine upgrades should be permanent. I’m ok with scrounging and saving elixer bt starting over every level just takes the wind out of my sails. Ai mining will render the game pointless because one could play 10 mins in the morning, get a few goblins, let them loose, come back tonight… Then it’s all done. Good jobs guys
