I absolutely love google lens! Mostly use it for the translate function cause it’s irreplaceable and priceless. However, I’m wondering about one simple thing that I can’t figure out. The way it works with using the camera is just insanely good, however there’s no option that I can find to use it to translate what’s on screen in real time… Why doesn’t this exist?? Reading the screen should be far easier technically, no need to focus and fight with the lighting and those in combination with perspective… Imagine having this function to be able to use apps from regions that don’t have translations you need. What can I say… I love my korean mmos without localization hehe. If there’s a way to make this happen google, please make it happen!

I am using mi a1. I am glad google made this app but it is not working on mi a1. When i open, a dialogue box pops up saying “google has stopped working”. After installing this app i can see google lens logo in google assistant but same error occurs. But it seems to work when i open google assistant and expand it to fullscreen. It does its job of detecting things. Please try to solve this error. Love this app.

Works fine on my xiaomi mi a1 with android 8.0.0. But I have had similar apps and this one does not make it easy to first get a clear shot but often makes blurry photos and then tries to recognize the blurry object. I think it has potential, for now 4 stars.

I have a Xiaomi Mi A1 with Android 8.0.0 and if this app worked fully I would give it 5 stars but when I open the app, it says ‘google has stopped’ and the same thing happens when I open it on a minimised Google assistant so I have to open it fully for it to work. Please fix this!

I’m using this app in mi A1 and it’s working flawlessly thanks to developers and we want a stable version and some new things to add-on in this app for the future phones…

Finally it works on my nexus 6. It definitely need some improvements. It doesn’t recognise celebrities pics and most of the time shows different results.

This application does exactly what it says. Lookup barcodes, learn about a painting you see on the wall, analyze text or search the web for whatever text you see on a sign, business card…. endless possibilities. Great work Dev Team!!
