Ice Box is a box to freeze and store the apps you rarely used.

Apps in box will be HIDDEN from launcher and won’t be able to steal your battery or cellular data in background. You can easily launch them from Ice Box, just like launch from a home screen folder. They’ll be frozen automatically after screen lock or back to launcher and can’t do anything in background.

Long press app icon to:
Run App.
Freeze/Defrost app.
View App’s system detail.
Open on Google Play.
Uninstall.

Support desktop widget:
Freeze All Apps
Freeze All + Lock Screen
Defrost and Run Specific App

Also Support Tasker Plugin:
Quick freeze or defrost selected app(s).

Notice: Please remember to click “Defrost All” in settings if you want to uninstall Ice Box.

It’s really an amazing app that I’ve ever met! My phone’s bought in China, therefore it has many annoying and useless built-in apps. With this app, I can easily Freeze’em to block unwanted notifs. What’s more, I even freezed my system launcher because it’s terrible. I can use any launchers I like regardless of the restrictions which is already freezed by me!

I first used “Brevent” app’s server to activate Icebox. It allowed me freeze apps without root. But if your like me, and turn your device off fairly often, you don’t want to run the adb command every device reboot. Rather than using Icebox through Brevent servers , I recommend the alternative “device owner” method for Icebox, making Icebox a Device Admin, to keep the “service” active; (which works even after restarting your device.) Either method work fine.

good, so i don’t need to uninstal app that i rarely use

one of the most useful apps (for rooted devices) there is. so easy to use and launch freezed apps that I found myself freezing most of my apps. whenever i want to use my parking app, public scooter app, aliexpress, amazon, ebay, bank app, etc. etc. I simply launch it from the freezer, use it and freeze it back. no more apps eating up my battery everyday just so i can use them once a week. Love it.

Incredible! This is a must-have app. Fully functional even without any in-app purchase. I don’t know why I never thought of using an app like this before. It solved most of my issues by freezing the apps I hardly use and letting my phone breathe. Well done! Update: The app causes random reboots on Nexus 6P with Android 7.0.

Only one problem When freezing Google play services and defrost it my Google account gone , so I have to set my Google account every time I freeze and defrost it , otherwise it is perfect , thank you for the good app ( sorry for my bad English

Good idea. Simple implementation. Helps battery and performance! I discovered this app is useful in many fronts – for one freezing most apps that don’t need to be running in the background helps battery and performance tremendously. Case in point are hard to greenify apps like Facebook, WeChat and a few others. Apart from that this app also helps you hide apps from your actual desktop and app drawer if you freeze them. Yet launch them quickly from icebox when need be. I would like to see it auto defrost and run related frozen services for an app in the future.
