As someone who really loved the original Lem mings games, this is mostly a really good update, with thoughtful new features (like placing a Lem ming skill ahead of time) and vertical levels to take advantage of my phone’s portrait screen. The sense of bouncy fun’s still there, too. Unfortunately, it’s also full of free-to-play mechanics (limited energy, countless opportunities to watch ads), so I can’t give it 5 stars. Would really love an option to buy it outright and disable the freemium stuff.

As with many games recreated on mobile, Lemmings is a former shadow of the original game. Lacking the depth, character and challenge that the original games were famous for. The constant lack of energy to compete missions and item costs feels as though I’m famous, but the only people who love me are homeless and poor because the game constantly money grabs at every turn. It’s a game of novelty and nothing more. a true Lemmings game would have thoughtful maps and true progression.

Takes me back nearly 30 years where I had this for the Amiga. Remake is fantastic although actions are more limited but I do like how you can pre-empt actions. The score in the original was also fantastic which hasn’t been emulated in this version most likely due to modern copyright laws. Fantastic game. Download it. It should be the next Angry Birds if marketed successfully.

Classic Lemmings, but with a modern twist. It’s not a perfect remake, which may upset some people, but it’s still Lem mings! So far I’m enjoying it. I don’t agree with microtransactions, so I don’t use them. I don’t believe people should rate this negatively because of that, every game nowadays does it…
