New files in your cloud account are automatically downloaded onto your device. New files in your device are uploaded. If you delete a file on one side, it will be deleted on the other side. It works across multiple devices (your phone and your tablet). If their folders are synced with the same cloud account, they will be kept in sync with each other.
This is how MEGA works on computers but not on Android. Two-way automatic synchronization should be an essential function of the official app. For whatever reason, it is not the case. MegaSync is here to fill the gap.
All file transfers and communications between user devices and cloud storage servers are securely encrypted and do not go through our servers. No outsiders will be able to decrypt, see or modify any file contents.

- Hi, let us to look into it. But normally it’s the device and router which balances the network traffic.
It didn’t want to upload for me. Left id alone for 2 hours and it synced 1 8mb file out of the entire folder.
Does what it says, Mega is now pretty much the standard for cloud storage it seems. Other companies work but they charge you a lot of money. Now that Google pulled the support for their unlimited backup,, there’s going to be a ton of people looking for something like this.. Amazon supposedly has unlimited photo storage but how much do you really want to trust Bozo over there . I’d much rather trust a dedicated data company with my stuff.
Why cloud storage providers cannot implement proper multi-folder backup options into their native app is beyond me. However, the developers of MegaSync have done what Mega themselves could not do, and they did it well. My important data stays backed up as intended. With a bounty of feature and customization options for each and every sync you create, makes this a MUST have for users of Mega.nz cloud storage.
Good app but 10mb upload limit for files or photos is ridiculous! Also it’s a shame the developer keeps replying to reviews that they give away the “free” app for free. What a misnomer! How about ditch the free one just for the paid one then? Ohh, forgot about market share and advertising, usage statistics, ad revenue, upsell, data selling.
When you guys are going to be the first in implementing and intergrating encryption as an option in synching… keep up with good work, your apps are so far lifesaver for our phones and our lifes…
Life-saving app! I managed to have my password database synched, without a need of going back to dropbox.
