NotifyBuddy – Change LED animation time

[App] NotifyBuddy – AMOLED Notification Light

NotifyBuddy  Though this is tested on Oneplus 6T, it should be working for most Android Oreo and later phones.

So I was annoyed not having an LED notification light on OnePlus 6T and I tried to make one of my own.

With phones having AMOLED display whenever a desired notification comes the app brings in a black screen with notification LED looking animation.

To use it:

1. Disable Ambient Display and any battery optimisation for the app.
2. Give notification access permission.
3 Select apps you want notifications for, by choosing a color
Note: On successfully selecting a color for an app the text in which the App name is written should change to that color
Thats it.

For MIUI 11 devices make sure that AutoStart is enabled in App Info. Also check “Show on lock screen” permission in other settings.

Additional Features:
1. Change LED animation time.
2. Change LED colours.
3. Change LED position.
4. Notify for missed calls.
5. Change LED size (Premium required!)
6. Add Downtime
And many more…

Premium version can be bought within the app to unlock all features!

Hi, I don’t quite understand why is there an option to “Double tap to turn on screen” Observation 1: If it was disabled, i have no way to turn on the screen, except pressing the on/off physical button Observation 2: If it was enabled, with my Touch Assessibility enabled, whenever the notifiybuddy activated the LED, i will see the Touch assessibility on the screen. As such i feel that this is consumping power. Observation 3: The interval default is 3seconds, i assuming it consume more power supply since every 3 seconds will flash once, hence i reconfigure to 15 seconds

I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now and I love it. When I got my new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 ultra this month I knew I was going to miss my led notification that I’d been used to with my last few note phones as Samsung took away this feature on the Note 20 ultra. This is an absolutely brilliant replacement for it and is just like still having my led notification. I think I might even buy the upgrade for it too. Thanks for making such a great app

The basic app was working ok on my phone , then I paid for the upgraded version , but now only the charging light comes on. Bit frustrating as this is the only app I’ve found that works on my phone. I did email the developer , just waiting for a reply. Hopefully they can fix the issue. If they can then I’ll give it 5 stars.

Great customization, I think the Led light option should be built-in every new phone, I can’t understand why it is not the case and this app solves the problem perfectly! Unfortunately the battery drain is insane so I’m only giving three stars for now and hoping dev will manage to fix it soon

I missed the notification blink on my Oppo phone. This does the job very well..purchased premium version and personalized some settings to my liking. Great app!!

I followed all of the directions and went to dontkillmyapp. I’m using OnePlus8 (Android 11). Test works, but in reality, the app does not seem to launch, although NB icon is shown as running. Notification dots don’t appear, just the regular notification icons, which go dark shortly after being flashed on screen.

It simply doesn’t work with native Samsung SMS app. Also, means for notification LED to reappear for at least another 25 minute period would be a welcome feature. I’ve found that just 25 minutes most of the time are not enough for me to notice that I have unread messages.

Doesn’t work with Pixel 4a. Test works but doesn’t work when receiving a text. Also causes a weird conflict with live wallpaper where it goes back and forth.

A nice concept, the app looks nice and polished, with nice features, but it didn’t work for me. EDIT: I got it to work, it was my mistake. I usually have do not disturb set to turn on/off automatically but this time i turned it on manually so it never turned off. I still have one probably though and that’s the battery drains significantly faster than normal, almost 30% drained overnight. If the battery drain issue can be solved, this app would be perfect.

Really a handy application to have since notification lights on any phone is a rarity anymore, I use it for text and messenger (facebook) notifications and it works wonderfully for those

This app is fantastic. My note 20 ultra doesn’t have a light to indicate notifications which I miss from previous phones. This app is loaded with features like, “symbols, colors, repeat options etc.” The programmer has thought of everything. Haven’t noticed any issues. Thank you!!!! Looking forward to any new versions
