  Instructions for dealing with background mode

On certain devices, apps are not allowed to perform background functions from their own battery saver, such as Xiaomi’s MIUI, Huawei’s PowerGenie…
So please add the Pomodoro app to the “protected apps” list or the “allowed background” apps list.

There are six steps in the original technique

1. Decide on the task to be done.
2. Set the Pomodoro timer (traditionally to 25 minutes).
3. Work on the task.
4. End work when the timer rings and put a checkmark on a piece of paper.
5. If you have fewer than four checkmarks, take a short break (3–5 minutes) and then return to step 2; otherwise continue to step 6.
6. After four Pomodoros, take a longer break (15–30 minutes), reset your checkmark count to zero, then go to step 1.

Really cool app, specially for software engineers, we spend too much time focusing or aaall the other way, too much time procrastinating, and this technique is the perfect balance. Feedback input: I’d change the UI to a Material design(personal preference), and maybe add a “post-it” View where you store notes, reminders, or just daily things we used to stick to the fridge. This app is perfect. I just love the minimalistic design and also how small and powerful this app is. Today I started to try and see how I can focus if I divide the time properly. It is surreal how this is helping me to focus, my brain cannot focus on extensive taks at once, so dividing it in small portions is being really helpful. Congratulations to the team developing this

I thought the circles and shapes on screen meant something (ex. Track how much time i spent working) but nope. Alarm sounds are also very limited. But other than those, this app is does the job, including being able to adjust the time for work, break and interval. Get it if the design fits your style.

This app fails to give notifications if phone is locked. I’ve added this app to my protected apps for battery use & still running into this problem regularly. Wish I could trust it to work because it’s visually beautifully, the statistics & break timers are great ideas.

Nice alarm. Be aware you need to turn down the volume on each individual alarm (might want to consider adding alarm options to the create menu) so you don’t jump, bite your tongue, and knock over your pen holder after getting coo-cooed at while deep in thought

It’s amazing and easy to use…….I love it as now I can concentrate on my studies and can remember it a way longer…..I suggest this to those students who have interest in studying and Everyone who want to achieve their goal… All the best…..

It’s good and simple, but I’d like the option for my phone not to lock while I’m using the app, because I want to look at the timer while I work.

Excelente app. Best design and best functionality of all Pomodoro. The ONLY thing missing is being able to pause the app for a couple of minutes. Then it’d be perfect

I like the app but it would be useful to mute the alarm. Even with headset in, the phone alerts loudly to signal the end of the session/break. Not ideal in the office

I like the app. However, the problem is whenever I lock my phone, I do not hear the notifications at all unless I open it (which is totally misleading). Please fix it, developers.

It is a great app if you want a simplw pomodoro timer, although i suggest to put a pause button cuz i cant find any, thanks for this app! Keep up the good work! :

This is a really good app!! I now use this all the time when I want to study and it helps me be more productive than just studying and having a really long break.

It a really incredible app, but I would like a lot if implement some section of the “forest” type, personally I think it is a good stimulant.

I loved the way we can customize time and colors. The statistics section shows me how much I have worked so far and I can adjust plans for the next move.
