I’ve been playing for a few weeks and nowhere near then end of story mode. But I might stop playing. Here’s the reason To progress in story, you need a certain currency that can be earned in instances (dungeons, raids) But running them consume another currency that you can only replenish after 24 hours. This currency is also being tapped in when you grind or farm. After the instances, I can’t grind or farm efficiently. Log in, 5 instances (each 4min), set up auto farm. Log out. That’s all I do.
I’m giving 5 stars to that mobile version of the Ragnarok game. I used to play Ragnarok in my early 2000-s. It was fun!! Many worlds, great dungeons, nice chat commands and game events. I believe this is only the beginning and they can improve this game technically and visually. Go Gravity!
As cute and lively as I remember the old games to have been. Sure, it’s a mobile game,so if that’s not your cup of tea, you’ll have some issues learning the controls or somewhat flawed U.I. But overall, it’s a neat game that offers exactly what you’d expect from this sort of MMO. Gives plenty of reasons to explore, if you’re into collecting and being a completionist. Seems to have decent combat, although, somewhat hard to aim sometimes if the screen is cluttered. Clear thumbs up!
Overall this game is fun, exciting, cute and enjoyable. However, there is something that I would like to point out and that is regarding the ‘log out’ lag where it would say ‘you have been logged in to another device…etc’. The problem is that I HAVEN’T logged in to another device and this situation would occasionally occur when I’m playing. Please fix and thank you ^w^
Love Ragnarok, it’s nice to be able to play on my phone, also have it on my iPad. Only downside is you need a fairly powerful device to run it. I have a galaxy note 9 and a newer iPad & it runs perfect. But for my husband, it crashes before he can even create a character on his tablet and won’t even install on his phone as he’s has a bit older devices. Other than that it’s nice to not have adverts, there’s a lot to do, and it doesn’t harass you to spend money to play it or progress.
I really enjoy the actual game. Unfortunately due to the sheer cost of playing the game as a completionist/collector the game is bumped down to 3 star rating. Every 2 weeks they publish new premium items to acquire, and it will take over €100 to even have a chance to acquire the good items they release, with the more common stuff being primarily there for cosmetic reasons. They really design the system with whales (very rich people) in mind, and when you cater to the 1%, you can rest assured the remaining 99% of the playerbase won’t be overly thrilled about it. It’s a shame, compared to other regions the game has a low population, they could have done with some optimization for western market.
I played this game way back it’s nostalgic to play it again. After that I remembered how grindy this game is. It gets boring very fast. Fetch quest, collect A, goto A to B, kill 300 to 1000 of this. If you got time and nothing else to play you will love this but there are a lot of great games now.
