With this app you can essentially do two things:

1.) Show your own location live on Google Maps. This way your family and friends always know where you are and that you are safe.
2.) See the location of your friends and family members right in the app. Just ask them to install this app.

Additionally this app provides tons of extra features (geofence, track and trace, etc.) which is why it is one of the most popular real-time gps trackers for Android. Please have a look at the feature list below.

Important for battery saving: By default this app is configured for high frequency tracking and high accuracy, which needs quite much battery. If you would like to save battery it’s strongly recommended to run the battery wizard. For extreme power saving, use the remote control to run the tracker on-demand only.

You are not allowed to use this GPS Tracker for illegal activities. Don’t track people without their agreement! If the tracker is running it will always show an icon in the status bar. Please don’t send requests to hide the icon. The icon will stay visible for security reasons.

It’s only accurate if the GPS signal is strong. If you are at home (inside) the phone has not clear view of the sky, so the location is inaccurate and might jump around.

The best Best tracking app out there with good web based integration.

Only with a WiFi connection Tested this app with three phones. It work apparently not with true GPS, but requires data to be on or WiFi connection. I thought using GPS meant using GPS. ( Re: reply. GPS was and is selected.)

You can choose in the settings whether the app uses GPS or not. The decision is up to you. I use it on my own phone with GPS every day. Of course you still need a data connection, otherwise it cannot publish your location on your map in the web portal.
