SmartThings Mobile user reviews :

It’s not a bad app by any means. It does its job, though it can be on the sluggish side. The feature I’m missing is a widget that shows a specific property of a Thing. For instance, I want to monitor the temperature of a multi sensor. With their new dashboard it’s one less tap, but it’s still 2 taps and some waiting. I’d really like a widget that would fill that requirement.

Too many third party workarounds right now. New update dash switches not reliable in my tests. Only official ST sockets work from the dash. I’ve utilised a much cheaper alternative that doesn’t work from the dash and still no native S3 companion. Security is far too unreliable at prese t with presence detention in accurate causing alarm to sound when it really shouldn’t. Less aesthetics and more functionality would increase my rating.

I like it! A few glitches hear and there but the best home automation app out there that I’ve seen. Would give more stars if it had widgets per device.

Works great if you read up and know what you are doing. Stop posting negative reviews because it does not support some obscure and rubbish piece of kit you have or because you have no idea how to use the SmartApps!

On one hand it’s simple, on the other, you can’t customize notifications and set up events without 3rd party apps. If this isn’t the case, design the app better. In response to theirs, I went through their instructions which confirmed what I’ve stated. What’s great, notify me when says it can run sounds and the such… In the instructions it doesn’t show you how. The options are not available. Again, your app requires to many third party apps and the instructions provided confirmed this. Make the app able to utilize the phone as a audio device per event. Lastly, ended up having to reset the hub due to being set up with a Samsung account rather than smart things through this app! Had to reset all of the things also after. My oplink experience was way better than this had been. The potential is there… Just needs a team who can execute a great app. Update… It’s great now that they added steps in order to get to the home monitor status to clear out false alarms. *Sarcasm* seriously though, the dashboard idea is nice, but it’s not great to change it so it’s in the way of main functions.
