SmartThings user reviews :

The overall system/hub is great. However, this app is slow and clunky. Classic was better. It takes some time to load everything on launch before I can do anything. Then, when you go into a device, there’s only a tiny space on the sides to scroll. Otherwise, if you scroll in the middle fast, it won’t scroll, gotta go slow and it looks like it wants to select an option. You simply cannot scroll past a color wheel for a light because you’ll just be selecting a color instead of scrolling. Annoying.

  • Hi Eric, thanks for using the app, and apologize for the inconvenience. We’d really appreciate a review. Our team is constantly working to improve our app in the new version. Could you please let me know the issues with screenshots at support[at] so that we can assist you accordingly. Thanks.
This app has continued to get worse with every update! It can not even recognize which lights are turned on or off in my house. Update: This app is still having problems figuring out which lights are on or off. Security cameras rarely show up. I’m finding it easier just using mfg. Apps. I thought this was supposed to be about saving time. Its about 10X faster to use individual apps. and more reliable. Can’t trust anything it’s telling you so you must check it and always find something not workin

Not all apps are compatible on my TV. On my TV I have Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Vudo, Disney, Google. A few of the apps like Hulu and Google won’t allow normal navigation because it defaults to a circle cursor and it won’t allow for me to click on anything. Prime for instance though, it goes from link or category or movie without a cursor just like the TV remote, so thats fine. I need this app. My kids keep losing the remotes.

  • Hi Thomas Lorenz, we apologize for any issue you might be having! Could you send details of what you are experiencing to our customer support by the Report a problem option from the app (Click on menu> contact/help> report a problem)? We’ll get you up and running. Thank you!
If anyone else in your home uses the app to do something on the tv it basically makes your app unusable for the rest of the day. My wife used it and I try to use it a few minutes later to change the settings on my tv and I’m stuck in an infinite sign in loop. It’s stupid. Why even add a feature to add other accounts to the group if only one can even navigate the app at a time?
