Brilliant streaming program when it works like its designed to. Had this on my phone and it worked well twice and then I kept getting the “Cannot connect to server” message.(which happened every time i turned it on. As long as this version doesnt go the same way, I should hopefully be good. The concept is great but what good is a concept without the engineering to back it up. If you have a working version, dont update it!
The app freezes while downloading files. It happens whether http or https is used. Otherwise it’s a lifesaver.
Superb personal cloud software; Especially for beginners, it seems like even children could easily manage to set this up. Nothing more to it than simply install Server software on your chosen device (say your desktop computer or a Raspberry Pi), install one or more clients (your Android phone for example). Log in, and you’re done! No port forwarding, no firewall troubles, nothing. You should notice however that this remains free for about one month from installation! As I’m writing this it’s 30$ a year,, which equates to about 1/5 of what a Netflix UHD account costs. Sure, you could set up your own, truly free, solution but in my humble opinion it’s well worth it unless you’re a seasoned computer user, as well as already subscribing to a DNS service.
OMG! This is the app I’ve been looking for, and free to home users. The only inclusion I’d love to see is the ability to cast a video from my computer to a tv anywhere, for example if I want to cast a home video from my computer on a friends tv via the video player in this app. Might be too much banwidth perhaps but would be awesome.
