Track Calorie Counter user reviews :
I really, REALLY want to rate this higher… but I just can’t. It’s not that Nutritionix is not a useful tool – the integration between the desktop and portable app is flawless, the database, while not perfect, is quite comprehensive. and it will help you if you are looking for a tool to track calories in, calories out… But (and here’s that suckage of breath through the clenched teeth moment)… it has issues. I use this in conjunction with health care professionals through the VA, and they want to see my diet and exercise tracking. I’d like to show them nice, neat report print-outs. But the only report options are CSV files. For those who don’t speak GEEK, that means Comma Separated Values. A printout of the database in its raw form. That’s about as useful as a soup sandwich, people. Figure out a way to create useful, easy to read and understand reports – think presidential level, three words and lots of pictures. Send them to a PDF file so I can either print them or email them, and you’ll earn that extra star.
I really like this app. I wanted something simple to use. This is. Yet I wanted something sophisticated enough to look up nutritional values or allow me to enter my own. This does. I faithfully use this everyday because its a cinch to use. I’m using the free version and it’s everything I want Possible improvements: I’d like to enter the time I ate. I’d like it to follow days carbs instead of calories. I’d like to have a little place to make a note on the day.
