VectorMan TRIVIA
The word Orbot means a robot who’s body is entirely composed of orbs.
When someone completed the game, the game cartridge would light up with a special telephone number for people to dial to see if they were the first to complete it!
When originally released, the first person to complete the game won $25,000 and a role in a SEGA advert for their efforts!
Although VectorMan got a sequel, a third game was originally planned and would have seen our hero redesigned from top to toe!

VectorMan Classic user reviews :

How can I forget this game? One of my all time favorite platform shooters. Graphics were the best seen on Sega Genesis, music was always great, (good enough to listen to alone), and gameplay was pretty challenging. Only thing is the transition from physical controller to touch screen. Difficult, but after some practice it’s pretty ok. Great mobile port of this game.

Love the game now as much as I did when I was a kid but overall the interface is clunky. I would take note from the Sonic Port team and use the interface from it. HID support is present but it lacks the ability to button map a controller. My gripe is that an emulator should not feel better to play. With this game the emulator does 100 percent feel better and that’s not good for a native Port to have said about it.

The game is good except the controls are very bad that’s the only thing I want fixed

Very nice port! But I do have some glaring issues keeping this from 5 stars. First, everytime I do anything, there is an ad that follows it, second is that sometimes saves don’t load, my save wouldn’t load for me and I had to start all over again. Lastly, do you think you could add Vectorman 2 into the game, maybe as an unlockable or something?, Or something like Golden Axe or Shining Forces. Overall however still a fun experience to try out again!

One of my fav retro games. Only downside is it doesn’t fully work with my ipega Bluetooth controller. The d pad doesn’t work only the jump and fire buttons work

  • This game is compatible with HID controllers. If your controller is listed as HID compatible, please contact help@sega.net with full details of your controller and we will have the development team investigate.

I played this game soooo much as a child on my Genesis…playing now on my phone is a little annoying because I need a controller to really enjoy the combat dynamics to the fullest. EDIT: i was able to connect my xbox one controller to my phone via Bluetooth and it works with this game …oh man!! lets go!

I’ve been waiting for this one. Best Genesis game by far! Controls are a bit wonky, but not too hampering.
