XDA user reviews :

App started working fine this morning. Not really sure what causes it to hang on the splash for so long. But everything is working as expected now. 4 stars because I really don’t like what they did with the newer device forums. They need to bring sub categories back and not have development mixed in with questions and general or give us a way to filter in app what categories we want to see.

  • I see you’re using a Google Pixel 6 Pro. We’re also testing on that device, and the new version 2.15.40 fixes the thread-loading issue. If you want to further troubleshoot, please email me via brandon[at]xda-developers.com. Thanks.

This ‘update’ is so much less useable and cluttered, It’s like going back 10 years and makes me want to go back to tapatalk. Quick note to XDA if you to issue a guide in how to use a new forum software to long term net users or people on a dev forum then your doing it wrong. In addition and no landscape view or tablet mode , come on your supposed to be supportive I’m removing it as it’s essentially useless

Ugh. It took forever to scroll to the bottom of an article to get to the comments. Then when trying to log into Disqus, it prompts to open in a web browser. No thanks. Uninstalling. Update: reinstalled 10/21/2021. Seems to be working satisfactorily. I’ll update rating again accordingly as I use it more.

As others have noted, this app is a significant regression ftom older versions. When it did work for me, it was very frustrating to use. Too many clicks needed to get anywhere. Now the double authentication feature when logging in freezes every time. A fine app is now a complete waste. How can good devs come up with this???? Edit: 10/9/2021. App unusable. When I log in, it takes me to an “authorize user” page. I click “authorize” and get a “Webpage not found” page. Use your browser instead!

What a awesome forum for all andriod, ios, IT and network related problems. I am not a developer but have found these forums an absolute awesome network of professional knowledge to help and support you with the most basic to complex problem solving. If you are a newbie or a seasoned professional I would recommend these forums to support you with all your needs and solution.

I don’t think that the app is as bad as reviews say, the only think that i really didn’t like is notifications, when someone replies to you in a thread you can’t see what they wrote, even when you expand it, it only shows additional info, not the content

Could’ve done a better job at programming this app. Clicking on a notification just opens XDA and not the thread in question. It’s also not stable/fast in general. Looks like it’s just a web-app, definitely has the (slow) speed of it.

XDA Developers was founded by developers, for developers. It is now a valuable resource for people who want to make the most of their mobile devices, from customizing the look and feel to adding new functionality.

I don’t know why the app has such a low rating, i mean, it’s working pretty fine, yeah, there are some ads but it’s understandable, right ? I liked it, also, it was a good idea to add open in browser button! I know you can do better xda!

Previous app was better in every way. Doing anything in this version takes multiple extra taps. Navigating is hard. Almost impossible. Bring back the previous version.
