ZIP me is a powerful tool to create update ZIP packages to install in recovery. Whether you are a ROM developer or just getting into root and ROMs ZIP me can simplify your life.
Who should use ZIP me?
If you install custom ROMs on your rooted Android device then ZIPme can be a powerful tool. ZIPme requires root access.
What does ZIP me do?
ZIPme creates ZIP packages to install in recovery mode. When you install a new ROM your system is wiped and many times you clear your data. ZIPme can create a package of your apps, data and files you want to install right after a ROM or as a ROM addon. ZIPme programs and signs the update ZIP package so your recovery can install it.
ZIPme user reviews :
JRUMMY is the best! All of his work is art. He even updated this long-outdated app (not since 2013) in April 2017 after a few email requests via this app’s XDA thread – talk about service!
I was one fan of this app. Now became bad because file and folder picker not showing anything. Also one Suggestion:- Give option to multiselect files. Atleast help your users by replying to comfort them.
Able to create update.zip and flash successfully. But installed app crashes after launch. Cleared cache and data but no luck. I am on LineageOS device OnePlus Two.
Zipme is a very good application. I am using it around 2 years. But there is multi-selection option for file selecting. So if you add 5-6 files from same or another floder you have to go to same floder for 5 or 6 times. So please fix it
Awesome! Always followed this developers work. It will be perfect when he completes it and gets the kinks out great for us developers who travel a lot and don’t bring all our devices with us. Perhaps adding cloud drive storage for backups and a sort by device later on. I’ll message on xda
