Action Dash gets its usage data directly from Android, so using it has no impact on your battery.
Best of all, because ActionDash’s visualizations come directly from Android, after first installing the app you’ll already have more than a week’s worth of usage history to look at!
Action Dash aims to be helpful to everyone, whether you’re actively looking reduce your device usage or not. Its beautiful animations and visualizations give you full insight into how often you’re using your phone and in what ways.
Some of ActionDash’s power user enhancements and customizations include:
Runs on all Android devices Lollipop and later
Dark theme
Daily usage report notification
Detailed device unlock and session length stats
Configure the ‘start of the day’ to be 3am (handy for folks who go to bed late)
Options to include apps such as Daydream, Google Play Services, Pixel Launcher and the Digital Wellbeing app in usage stats (which Digital Wellbeing itself hides)
Privacy as a feature
As has been true since we first started selling apps in 2012, our business model is simple: we sell software to happy customers, and do our best to never so much as be in possession of your data.
Action Dash is no different. Your private usage data never leaves your device, either to ourselves or 3rd parties, with the sole exception of manual backups you yourself trigger.
We hope you enjoy Action Dash (short for “Action Dashboard” and “Action Dash”), and the insights it brings you about your device usage

Needs more filtering (I don’t want it to include Google maps, for instance), 24h clock instead of am/pm, option for permanent notification and maybe some locking mechanism. Functionality and design wise, it blows all the competition out of the water, it just needs some more options for actual control.
Looks great and works well one day at a time… then promptly forgets the previous day. So my end-of-day notification says “You used your phone for 1hr 50min today. That’s 1hr 50min more than yesterday.” If I wait a couple hours before reviewing, clicking that notification will take me back to a blank screen showing I never used my phone that day.
No words for this app, enabling digital well bieng to all. hoping in the future a app to implement override of auto rotate in Android P, could also be made for all the readers, who cannot use it without stock android.
another great app by a fantastic Dev. well done, went pro. not so much because of the features but to support the consistently awesome work.
Pretty neat. one suggestion. Throw in a card that helps me see how am I doing in terms of a global average.
I really have an addiction to PUBG

- The first versions of ActionDash had compatibility issues with some Huawei and Xiaomi devices. We’re very sorry about that. But these issues are all fixed as of ActionDash v1.3, so ensure you’re using that version or later! Thanks for checking out Action Dash, and I hope you will consider updating your review going forward – Chris
This has been an eye opening experience to realise how much time I spend on my phone, and more importantly, how I spend that time.
Have never had any desire to use an app like this but as a long standing user of Action Launcher I thought I’d give it a go. Well put together and very clear. Think this app has converted me into actually caring about how much I use my phone. Will be great to see what updates will follow. Would be nice if there was some way to set usage limits.
very well designed and implemented. wish there was a way to exclude ceetain things from showing up in various graphs though. for instance, i have like a hundred instances of notifications from “wifi calling is active” and that really skews the graphs, as that ongoing notofication shouldn’t really count towards how many notifications I’m receiving in a given day

- Thanks for the feature suggestion. This is a popular request, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind going forward. Keep an eye on future updates, and I hope you come to update your review going forward – Chris
