Atelier Resleriana – New Adventures with a New Protagonist

[Game] Atelier Resleriana

Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator

KOEI TECMO GAMES and Akatsuki Games present the latest title in the Atelier series, Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator.
High quality world and character design.
An RPG with a compelling story written by TAKAHIRO, the creator of many manga, games, and anime, including “Yuki Yuna Is a Hero”!

Long ago, the kingdom of Lantarna prospered from the blessings of a white comet that passed overhead. The art of harnessing the comet’s blessings was called alchemy, and the practitioners of this art were known as alchemists.
However, when the comet disappeared and its blessings were no longer available, the use of alchemy gradually declined and was eventually forgotten.

Many years have passed, and in a corner of Lantarna two girls have a fateful meeting.
One is Resna, who has found hope in alchemy and is on her way to the Capital, aiming to travel to the World’s End where the source of the miracle is said to lie.
The other is Valeria, a girl who has lost her memories and now lives in the city while doing rough work as an adventurer for the Moonlight Society.

Behind them looms the shadow of the group known as the Polar Night Alchemists, a dark organization shrouded in mystery.
With different motives and ambitions intertwined, the two eventually come closer to the truth that lies dormant on the continent.

Atelier Resleriana user reviews :

The only good thing about this game is the high quality. The story is like an animated LN, and no monthly/battle passes, which is interesting, but then you realize that it’s just your standard mobile game. There is also too many loading screens, freemium currency is pretty tight, you need to log 2-3 times per day to not waste stamina, banners are short.. Also too many menus, daily chores gets exhausting, and no ad-free upgrade for the ad rewards(which are optional at least).

Engaging story, fun characters, and simple battle mechanics, but just needs a bit more tweaking on the performance side. Even with my phone rocking one of the latest Snapdragon chip, it still struggles to run at full res. Performance aside, everything else is an eye candy. Thanks to this game, I’m eager to check out the rest of the Atelier franchise!

Update: Too much “Limit” on this game, make the fun quickly diminish!! (power, level up mats, synth mats, etc) Awesome! Great graphic, pretty characters, engaging storyline, so far so good (well, except maybe the gacha part), if anything the music may need a cheery tones more, a bit more limitless in some parts (power, level, etc), oh, maybe a less subtle transition of enemies strength after finishing introduction. Besides those parts I love the game (so far).

I really like the game so far. The story animations have amazing production quality, and the characters are lively and entertaining. I can’t wait for them to release a banner for Roman. If I had any feedback, it would be to introduce more events that can be actively participated in and have decent Lodestar payouts. Overall, it is a wonderful entry into the atelier franchise.

Game is great! I love the character design. Surprisingly low storage despite the quality of the models. It does however suffer from lag spikes but that will be smoothed out with time. One slight thing I think is an issue is how long the summon animation is but there IS a skip button so it’s not really an issue.

Entertaining game with good graphics and super cut scenes. I wish they would translate this. It’s hard to enjoy the goings on while reading text. You are limited to energy recharging and lucky drawing characters to advance your levels. It’s worth taking a look at.

Solid game so far. Choices for better team synergy are locked behind the gacha, which may become an issue. Would be nice if there’s a way to revisit the story. I skipped ahead to explore the gameplay, but missed out on the story. It seems interesting enough to read along now that I’m invested. Edit: Turns out there is! Story Recollection is in the menus.
