Celestia – Explore our universe in three dimensions

[App] Celestia

Celestia  Celestia — real-time 3D visualization of space

3D Space Simulator | Celestia lets you explore our universe in three dimensions.

Celestia simulates many different types of celestial objects. From planets and moons to star clusters and galaxies, you can visit every object in the expandable database and view it from any point in space and time. The position and movement of solar system objects is calculated accurately in real time at any rate desired.

Interactive Planetarium | Celestia serves as a planetarium – for an observer on any celestial object.

You can easily navigate to any world and land on its surface. When used as a planetarium, Celestia shows accurate positions of solar system objects in the sky. You can switch labels and other supporting features on and off with hotkeys, or zoom in and out on an object of interest, for example Jupiter’s system of moons.

Expandable Content | Customize Celestia according to your needs.

Celestia’s catalogues can be easily expanded. There are many different add-ons available containing new objects like comets or stars, high-resolution textures of Earth and other well mapped solar system bodies, as well as 3D models for asteroids and spacecraft on precise trajectories. Even fictional objects from well-known sci-fi franchises can be found.

Celestia user reviews :

This game is great and I like to explore. but it does need a few things to be added and changed like the galaxy’s for instance need more color that way they don’t all look essentially the same. You should also add a few things like the two Voyager spacecrafts and the Hubble space telescope. you should also add more nebulas with more colors than just reds. You should also add more comets and moving clouds and atmospheres for the planets especially the gas giants.Other than that this game is good.

This is best 3D astronomy app but sadly keeps crashing on loading the extras and can’t find anything from search once outside the milky way!, Shame it’s just too heavy on a slower cheap fone w a GB of RAM!?

This game is awesome , I want a game in which we can explore everything and in this game we can explore anything but when I try to find nebula I can’t find it,even I try to put the name of nebula but still didn’t find it,

I cant believe i found yhis app!Anything you want to f8nd is here!No purchase and you can see satallite.I recommend this app for learning.

Great planetary simulation!!! Even though you could work on those bland gray generated surfaces on objects

Its good but just cant see the orion nebula. I wrote ngc 1976 and didnt see the nebula.

My fav astronomy program now on mobile. Cannot be happier.

GREAT App…The Galaxy is Grouges.. GREAT Grafics…, Has Most Planet’s Stars Moon all stuff in Soler System.., Can Exprince the Endless Sky Crystal Clear in Object or Camera Mode…Can Zoom in & Out…, has Really Useful Fether’s..

I’m pretty glad that work on Celestial is happening again. I had lots of fun with it in my teenage years on the PC

you need add trappist system with custom texture that would be so cool! and a kepler 90 8 planets

I wanted to give 4 stars bcoz whenever I tried to see black hole in the center of Milky Way this app crashed but developer team did a great job by making this awesome app as I am a cosmos lover, thanks for making this beautiful app for us

Hands down the most incredibly informative and detailed app ever made….if you are a fellow Astrophile then this app will satisfy your love for the cosmos..a huge thank you to the developers!

We haven’t seen real life the second moon of our planet yet , but your app does have even a photo of it lol, I think you should review your app , overall it’s a good one and can be the BEST and complete astronomy app ever created if you CAN add outer galaxies, selection of objects Also not good , when you try Jupiter you find yourself in other star NGC…, the search should be on the main page ,why go to settings then search there ? Anyway I appreciate it a lot

I don’t think one can do much more than this while porting Celestia to a phone. It would be great if a guide could be added. I’m a former user of Celestia for PC and still didn’t get how to install a few things here, for instance the Iss model. Also there two moon orbiting Earth, not really what the standard user wish to have… I guess.
