Since Android 10 background clipboard access has been limited so you have to grant these ADB permissions to Clip Stack on your computer:
adb -d shell appops set com.catchingnow.tinyclipboardmanager SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW allow;
adb -d shell pm grant com.catchingnow.tinyclipboardmanager android.permission.READ_LOGS;
adb -d shell am force-stop com.catchingnow.tinyclipboardmanager;
There is no impact on the version below android 10 and can be used directly.

Permission Usage
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Start a background service to listen the system clipboard. It only cost 6M – 10M RAM. You can close it in Settings if you really don’t want it.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: For export clipboard history. This app won’t write any other files to your SD card.
VENDING.BILLING: Only for donate. Clip stack is a free app.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW and READ_LOGS: For Android 10’s background clipboard limitation and will not be used on other systems.

Easily the best clipboard manager for Android. Dead simple to use, allows bookmarking clips, doesn’t enforce any kind of network connectivity to function (dev also has Clip Cloud for cross-device sync, which makes me feel a lot more comfortable). Android 10 broke clipboard access rather than asking users what they wanted, and the dev quickly provided the necessary ADB commands to fix the issue. Might be a pain for some to do, but this wasn’t the dev’s fault and they still provided a support fix.

- On Android 10 Clip Stack uses the READ_LOGS permission to read the system log “Denying clipboard access to xxx” then use the SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW permission to switch to the foreground read the clipboard. If you are concerned about privacy issues, then I want to explain that Clip Stack is a completely local app with no network permissions.
Loved it! Sadly won’t work with the new Google Pixel 10 update & the explanation on how to make it work makes no sense to the average computer user. Going to have to look for another one.
This app is incredibly useful. I use it frequently, in conjunction with Twitter. It saves lots of time when adding hashtags to tweets.
Big Thanks to the developer, but the trick to bypass android 10 limitation is not clear for normal users ” run ADB command on pc” !!!
The adb commands work fine to overcome the Android 10 issues but I just noticed they need to be repeated after you reboot the phone.
best app but its better to have night mode or different color theme. green theme doesnt match my night mode.
Better than the higher rated ones. And no advertising of any kind. Highly recommended.

- I am very happy to tell you that Clip Stack can now works on Android 10 with a trick to bypass Google’s limitation. It needs connect to the computer and enter ADB command. Please see more info at the app descriptions.
