DashLight

[App] DashLight

DashLight is a simple, lightweight DashClock extension that acts as a toggle for your device’s camera flash/led, allowing you to use it as a torch/flashlight.

Please Note:
Due to the way DashClock works, I am currently unable to toggle the flash directly from the lock screen using the extension – i.e. Without unlocking the device.
This is the best I can do for now, due to the DashClock limitation. If this changes in the future, I will update the extension accordingly.

DashLight also works as a regular widget, and can be used alongside the DashClock extension or on its own.
The widget can be placed on the home screen or the lock screen (or both), and provides another quick and easy way of controlling your flash/led for use as a torch/flashlight.

Features:
* DashClock extension
* Widget
* Notification tray toggle (to turn off only)
* Auto-Off timer
* Simple, effective, and lightweight

Drop me an email at contact+dashlight@spectrl.com if you have any other requests.

Requirements:
* DashClock
* Android 4.2+
* Camera flash/led

Disclaimer:
I have only been able to test on a Nexus 4, so please let me know if you have any problems with your particular device.

DashLight user reviews :

Very useful and helpful, I would like to be able to turn the light on and off from the lock screen without bring routed into the home screen of the phone. UT as of now works as intended beautifully.

This extension does exactly what it says, gives quick access to turn on and off the led flash. It actually seems to turn it on quicker than most dedicated flashlight apps on my GNex. It does require you to unlock the phone before the light turns on, but I think that’s a limitation of android, not this extension. The auto off timer is great too.
