[App] DS Talking Phone
DS Talking Phone speaks on phone events:
when phone rings: speak the caller id (or number) of incoming calls based on your phone’s stored contacts.
when you receive a short message: speak the sender id based on your phone’s stored contacts.
when you plug or unplug the phone charger.
It has a home screen widget for easing your access to settings.

you can set volume for the spoken text to be different that ring volume.
announce battery low, and battery OK state
read the content of short messages on receive
DS Talking Phone uses the built-in Android text-to-speech engine.
If you want that the contact name to be spoke in your language you must install a text to speech engine that supports you language (ex.: Ivona)
After install, you must manually launch the application for the first time.

Couldn’t live without it! Keeps me from falling over things trying to get to the phone before it stops ringing. This is an incredibly useful app. A must have! Just one additional feature would make it perfect (5.5 stars): a few different voices to choose from; the one it has is fairly annoying. A minor thing, though. I highly recommend this app!

Very handy app It is a very very useful app. Especially for me as I was used with it from my old nokia phone. I am working as a scaffolder, and I can’t get to the phone all the time. This helps a lot to sort out the important from the less important calls. Well done. And now, the pro version makes a very good app a super app. This is just amazing
