FIMO user reviews :

I use this app for everything. The only thing I don’t like about it which I hope they’ll improve, is that it takes too long to take a photo and it does not allow bulk shots. It also freezes sometimes and I wish they would allow me to use the filters afterwards on pictures in a rectangular shape instead of cropping i to a square. Other than that I absolutely adore this app.

I think this is app is the most polished and clean Flim camera app on the Play Store. Guys I just wanna add a suggestion, can you guys put a time frame on the development of images, for example, I took a photo right now, but I’m not able to see it until a set time period say 24 hours. It makes the experience even better and more realistic. KD Camera does this but the filters are all just fake. Also, add some simple Fuji style films it’ll definitely round up the whole app pretty well.

I’ve loved using this app since I found it. But in the last update I got sad to see that they changed to a subscription model. Luckily, I’ve bought all the films that I liked and I can still use them. Since I knew how cheap the films were individually, the yearly subscription price seemed expensive. If you have the budget, I still think the films are great.

I enjoy the ‘look’ I get with different film stocks, and a lot of them are visually appealing. But what prevents me from rating higher are these forced gimmicks that seem to be useless. Things like forced crops with certain film presets, massive borders. If I pay $3 for a preset, I don’t want a border, full stop. Also other things too, like no manual mode, no JPEG quality controls, etc. Hope FIMO improves, because this app has potential.

I love this app! Great film selection and easy to use. I agree with other folks that we shouldn’t be forced to have borders on certain film types. Especially if we paid for them. Nobody is posting/using photos with fake film borders anymore, that’s very 2010 instagram. Also I can’t find the option to turn off the shutter sound. I’ve looked ok the app and in my phone (pixel4) settings but I don’t see it.

I am legitimately sad that FIMO wasn’t around when I’d made a couple of trips to the West coast back in 2017. I REALLY dig the tactile quality of the UI, there’s almost too many film types to choose from, and the explanation of each type is very cool, too. This is an impressive app! O, if you could make it movable to the SD card, that’d be perfect…

I rarely if ever write reviews for apps I use. But damn! This has to be the best film app I’ve ever used. The filters are incredible and well designed, the functionality is straightforward and the interface is incredible and intuitive. My only gripe is the timestamp. I don’t hate it, I would just appreciate if there was an option to turn it off. Props to the Devs of this amazing app. I hope ads don’t take over soon like all other apps do.

I really enjoy using the film types (filters) and have purchased around 6 or 7. However I was dismayed after the last update to find you now have to pay a yearly subscription to use the filters £26+. As far as I can see I can still use the ones I have purchased which is good. £26 is steep! I will have to think hard before paying £26 per year. But then again I’ve never developed an app so I don’t know how much these things cost, maybe it’s fair.

Been using this app for the past three months. Easy to use. Amazing filter. Even the updates are amazing. At the beginning, was confused was not able to switch the films and kept showing error messages. But it works fine now. Hoping to see more amazing films soon. With the latest feature to control exposure value, it makes it even more amazing.
