The IKEA catalogue 2013 – for Android!

The IKEA catalogue was first introduced in 1951, which means that it has been around for more than 60 years! The first Android version was launched 2011 and just like the printed 2013 IKEA catalogue, the Android version is packed with inspiration and well-designed home furnishing solutions for every need and every wallet! The catalogue includes around 350 images, showing some 1.000 products, out of the 10.000 products in the total IKEA range.
This year we have made it possible to unlock exciting extra content in the catalogue. By scanning selected pages in the printed catalogue you will be able to access additional images, films, and 3D models. Just look for the pages in the printed IKEA Catalogue 2013 that have the smart phone icon on the top right corner. Note that you need to scan the whole page, the symbol itself is not enough to recognize a page and get the extra content.

IKEA Catalogue user reviews :

I searched the app catalog hoping to find an app that would let me access the shopping list I created online. Unfortunately, this catalog seems to be the only official Ikea app. It does provide a nice view of the catalog, but I’d rather see Ikea publish their catalog through Kindle or Nook apps and focus their efforts on a real time app that would allow me to browse what’s in stock at my local store and view/update my shopping lists.

Nice application which makes it easy to read the catalogue. Sadly scrolling isn’t smooth. Zooming is also not optimal. And when downloading a catalogue it gets stuck very often. Need to close the app an restart. Seems to demand an active internet connect ion to read the catalogue.
