Honestly it’s the best free chess app out there! Unlimited tactics, unlimited lessons and useful tools like chess clock it’s built in the app, and fun themes! The players here are competitive and helpfull! You don’t even have to register if you want to play. The best thing I like about this app is that you can send a link to your friend and you can play against them without needing to register.

Lichess is great, but this app needs work. It used to be fine, but now pretty often near the end of games when time is running down, the app just freezes up and I end up getting flagged. It’s really frustrating. If they fix that, I’ll up my rating to four stars. Only four instead of five because you can’t access everything on the app that you can on the website. But for now, please fix that endgame bug!

Eh, it’s cool for anything in the longer timeframe but for bullet and faster it’s just too clunky sometimes. Making a move near the left border of the screen sometimes gets confused with sliding the menu out. If you do not happen to make your move pixel perfect on a square it will often not register, which is a massive handicap in time trouble. It should be way more forgiving but it isn’t. Other than that it is still the best chess experience and completely free too.

Good app so far. A few features that would make it 5 star… I want to be able to ban pre-loading moves for any game I create. I frequently have opponents making upwards of 15 moves in a fraction of a second. The winner becomes whoever pre-loads on faster internet. Also either allow unlimited game aborts or allow better filtering of opponents. I check to see if someone frequently forces a draw, disconnects or seems suspect, and won’t proceed with the game.

Best chess app out there! It is freakin amazing. One thing though. Please add all the features in the app too which you get in the browser like simultaneous exhibition, puzzle streak, puzzle racer and etc… PLEASE!

Excellent puzzles. Just for learning, the puzzles are worth the entire app. I love that there are no full-page ads to wait through or obvious money-grab tactics like so many Google Play Store games have. If you are into chesz, or might want to be, I highly recommend giving this app a try!

Great app but punishes you for unintentional network drops. It allows players to wait & exit you at a specific time losing you the game. Another player hack is to push your last move back & then your time rolls down like crazy!

The app is basically perfect chess app. It has all the features that a premium app offers, plus unlimited online games, analysis of moves, practice with computer, daily puzzle etc. and many more. Offline play is also good. One minor inconvenience I encountered is that when you press back button while a game is in progress, the screen shifts to previous game or menu. Whereas when playing a game, pressing back button should at least give one prompt..

Hello lichess team, i am using lichess on my samsung galaxy m31s…In this device ,am getting an issue regards application magnified compared to other devices..it magnifies lichess’s home screen,settings page and everything in lichess app..I didn’t use any system feature or any third party apps for this kinda issue… please try to solve this issue as soon as possible.. thanks in advance..

I feel the app is near perfect for mobile use but PLEASE fix the annoying bugs like pieces getting stuck, game analysis taking forever to load and ESPECIALLY opponents time keeps running even after he made a move! In classical i got used to refreshing the game to make sure its still his turn but in bullet, blitz and rapid its really critical in time crunchs. I think ive lost like almost 50 games by now because of this issue. Please fix it its very frustrating and demotivating
