Overall good app. However, it would be useful to be able to zoom in the boarding pass. Some airport systems do not read it (I had to do a screenshot and zoom in order to pass the gates). This is indeed an airport system issue, but having the zoom in feature would be nice.

The app works very slowly!!! Even with a good internet connection, you have to wait way too much time until you can complete a submission or until you get your boarding pass. For check-in, it had loaded the second page more than 3 times even though it said everything was good, and at a point, I refused to try. When I came back to the app, the check-in was made, but I couldn’t see the boarding pass.

The Lufthansa updated gate information much faster than LHR departure boards did. When every minute counts, it’s vital to know where to go and how to get there. Traveling with a disabled passenger, I wish the app offered a map of how to navigate between terminals with a wheelchair. I had to push the chair and luggage up a steep ramp as there were no lifts nearby. The app is good, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Usually the information is accurate, but they do make it impossible to input document information. It either sends you back in an eternal loop or doesn’t proceed to the final step after you enter all the information. This makes it impossible to check in on line. It seems to be a different glitch every couple of months.

Too many “technical problems”. This app is terrible, considering it is for a national flag carrier like Lufthansa. It is difficult to navigate and takes ages to load. The information you enter comes out incorrectly, which will lead to having to just print off a boarding pass at the airport anyway. Pointless.

This app, like the entire airline, somehow manages to continue to get worse. It only features very basic functionality to begin with and is still confusing. Frequent crashes and error messages seem like the airline doesn’t want anyone to book a flight with them. Need to log in every time I open it. Why can’t I pin my boarding pass? I use other airline apps a lot, so I know what reliable, easy to use airline apps look like. This Lufthansa app isn’t one of them.

Positive – modern design – full native app vs only a shell web app as some other airline offer – works as expected in many ways Negative – doesn’t save user data, i.e. passport data, which has to be entered manually for every single check-in. What’s the point of digitalization if LH doesn’t make use of the benefits but still treats it like a paper form? Other companies are better at offering a seemless customer centric UX – built-in passport scanner doesn’t work at all. Broken QA process at LH
