The game is okay. The art style is unique. The music is acceptable. Now for the ads … There are no forced ads, but the pop ups, and requests to double stuff place this game squarely on the edge of being a sleazy money grab. It even allows you to watch ads to extend away time (default one hour), but then reduces it back to normal over time. It is worth a few minutes of your time, I guess …

It’s a good game but the Kansas City event ended about 12 hours too early according to the in-game timer. I would’ve been able to complete it if it weren’t for that glitch. Also some of the menu items (permit office, city counsel for example) are cut off and I can’t see prices to unlock items. Update 11/18/22: Progress in this week’s event did not save and restarted upon re-entry even when account is linked

I like that there are no mandatory ads. Though the ads are all optional, not watching them would mean that you’d spend far more time for far less progress. You might end up spending 80% of your time watching ads and not playing anything. Often the game will promise a reward for watching an ad and then when you try to watch the a it says there are no ads to play and you end up just watching that reward you needed expire completely.

I was surprised by the voice acting. Great sound track. The only issue is that the icons for collection are really small. Miss by a pixel, and you’re opening another menu by mistake. I did purchase the no ads pack as I was genuinely interested in the work they put in.
