I love this app! The variety of viewing options is great, especially the ability to make Ghost Mode fully transparent for a true Background Play experience. I was having a crashing issue, but it turned out to be my phone – Protip: make sure your battery usage isn’t “optimized” for this app (Settings > Apps > Menu (Three Dots) > Special Access > Optimize Battery Usage > Scroll down to Minimizer and toggle optimization off). The app support is great, they helped me figure out what the problem was.

Seems that they have done a great job fixing up this new version. App is working as it should. Dimmer mode is turned off by default so I can use with screen off. Can pay for ads free from menu now. Other bugs seem to be gone. Thank you

I know that I am using an outdated but stable version , search icon and youtube home screen icon are still not responding after minimizing and restore ( when the action bar is located down side ) , I just updated and tested , only suggestions encoding is ok now.

  • From your review I see that you are still using an older version. The latest version available on Play Store is “6.127.117-1” and has solved all the issues you mentioned except for the background color, that is scheduled for the next update because it’s a theme issue.

Great app. But I cant browse other channels, or search somethimg. If I try to do it, It will stop the playback. Please fix this issue.

I love the app and it is a great way to get around YouTube’s background play block and I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for a bug I keep having with the “are you still listening?” feature. If I am not in the app or not on the phone and it gets to the “are you still listening?” feature it will repeat the song it was playing over and over without being able to skip it or say yes and it keep going as it should to the next song. Fix this issue and I will change my rating.

  • Thank you very much for your review, this is a YouTube problem (yes the same as the YouTube website) that inevitably appears in YouTube Minimizer as we use the YouTube API. We are trying to bypass it but sometimes YouTube makes changes to their code and it will appear again. We will do our best to block it again on the upcoming update.
