Step 1: Place playthings and snacks in your yard.
Step 2: Wait for cats to visit!
Attract cats with food and then watch them romp with your toys! More than 40 varieties of cats—white and black, tabby and calico—might stop by. Rare cats are rumored to roam the neighborhood too, but you’ll need particular items to entice those elusive felines. Each visitor is logged in your Catbook. Become a master kitty collector and fill it up!

I’ve been loving this game. It’s cute, it’s relaxing, it’s casual. I like the improvement on visual and the broken toys mechanism. But I really don’t like the fact that the game lacks a lot of stuffs, from the amount of toys in the shop, slower appearance of cats, no daily passwords, and the fact that the visit mechanism is sorta broken. I hope they’ll improve the game more in the future
Game itself good. Wish I could upgrade goodies to be unbreakable because having to re-buy them to make them look new again gets old after a few weeks. Also, minus two stars for using twitter/x for the visit other yards feature. Plenty of games I’ve played have had similar features built-in without having to redirect to social media. 2 cats are only accessible if you visit other yards. This is a collector game. In order to enjoy the full game they are trying to force me to use x. No thanks.
Great but not perfect. Broken items tend to look worn or ugly even after being repaired. It’s discouraging to play knowing that my favorite items to have on display will never look pretty as when I bought them. 4 stars. A good solution would be to allow more creative, aesthetically pleasing visual changes to all the worn toys that have been fixed. Like the tissue box or basket for example.
i was really happy to get back into NA after playing the OG game years ago. for now, it feels slow, i hope the fish conversion will be put back in and the economy will get balanced better soon. also, option to fix toys them to OG state would be great; some fixed items are cute, but some look shabby and having to pay full price for them again sucks. it would be fun to be able to switch up the fixed states too!
Like many others, my game is not refreshing correctly after leaving the yard and coming back. For awhile, it seemed like force closing the app and cleaning the cache was working to refresh it but that’s no longer working. It’s been hours (days maybe) since I’ve had any cat visitors or received any gifts from them. Even updating the app didn’t force a refresh!
Neko Atsume 2 is identical to the first game but definitely improved. The cats are still super cute and it’s still a great way to occupy some time. The monthly sub offers are not too bad, seem to be inexpensive and offer a fun benefit of having a helper to refill snack bowls. If paid services are something you’re into, the options seem fair. I’m excited to see what different furniture and cats are added in the future.
(Updated) Basically the same game as before. I would have thought they changed it or expanded on the old game, but it seems like it’s the same game from 10 years ago. Might discover more down the line. Do enjoy the new garden type though. Update: same game but stuff breaks. I hope they add more stuff to the catalog soon because it feels a bit bare. Also apparently playing with others is necessary for completing the catbook, which is annoying.
it’s ok, the cats show up a lot more slowly and seem to leave quicker too, so I miss seeing them a lot more than the first game. I also learned the cats won’t show up if you don’t have an internet connection, so I won’t be able to play it while traveling like the first game. The repair mechanic could be fun, but you have to tap through the menu and options a lot to repair, so it ends up feeling like a chore. I’ll keep playing a bit though, it’s new and I’m sure it’ll improve at least a little!
