Password Store user reviews :

Great app. No ads, all the advanced settings at your fingertips. Can use an authentication key in the PGP keyring to authenticate with the git server. The designer is in tune with the UNIX philosophy. However the autofill just doesn’t work half the time. It’s not this app’s fault at all, it affects all password managers using the Android autofill API. I can already open this app and copy the password as needed, but it would be great to have a way to copy all fields at once, like username.

  • Thanks for your glowing review! I’ll let you know about Autofill in our existing email thread.
I am not able to add external repos from sub-directories. I am forced to add them in the root (not actual root, but where Documents, Pictures, etc folders are) and even when I do I can’t add passwords because the save button does nothing. I am still able to decrypt already existing passwords so at least there’s that. Hope for a fix, have to use legacy for now.

  • This bug is fixed on our test devices so we can’t do much without a proper report from you on our GitHub repository.
Simple and effective application. The developer answers very quickly here and by email, bringing very satisfying answers. I can only regret that there is no possibility to protect the app with a different password from the system (my friends know my password) as well as the absence of error messages for some bugs. The total absence of advertising and the totally open source side are also huge pluses! !

  • Thank you for your kind words. Relying on the system to provide authentication allows us to offload a lot of potential security risk to audited code from Android who are equipped to handle that much better than us so it’s unlikely that we’re ever going to change how we implement it. We’ve improved error messaging significantly for the next release.
Awesome tool. There’s one thing going on that I realized today though. When trying to synchronize, (push/pull or viceversa) it fails with “not authorized” before asking for a password. I also tried other methods of authentication (ssh key and gpg key) with no success. I had used it before with no issues. I hope it can be fixed. I’ll be happy to provide more info if it’s necessary.

  • We have pushed a v1.11.2 version that addresses this bug, if you’re still unable to make the app work then please email me at aps[at]msfjarvis.dev and I’d be more than happy to sort it out.
The latest version does not work any more. I wanted to use “clone repository” with https + password, but the app responds with “not authorized”. I dont even have a chance to provide a password. This procedure worked in previous versions. Also, I could not find any option in the settings menu to create a credential provider. Is https+password no longer supported? Update: The developers fixed the problem so I changed my one star rating back to 5.

  • Thanks for updating your review! Please do let us know if we break something in the future (we certainly hope we don’t).
The app is great. I started using pass on desktop and this allowed me to use it on Android as well. I have only one Issue that is annoying – autofill does not work at all. It does not show matches, neither some kind of popup search, just doesnt do anything. Not in browaer, neither in native apps

  • If you send an e-mail I’ll be able to provide you guidance on how to work around Xiaomi’s breakage.

Definitely recommended. Easy setup to the git repo on my server. I’m an able to sync all my devices. Works seamlessly with OpenKeychain. If you’re Linux/Android, don’t know why you would do anything else. Thanks for a great app!!
