This is a wonderful app. The camera function doesn’t work that well, but it gets it sometimes, and honestly the camera is the least important part of this app. If you can be bothered to take 15 seconds to type the problem in manually, the answers and visual graphs are excellent, and combined with a cursory understanding of the type of answer you should get, will net you As for sure. That being said, be honest with your work, and use this app as a supplement for doing your math work properly.

It is very useful for when I don’t feel like doing certain problems that would take a lot of time and when I don’t understand certain problems. The way it breaks down the solution into steps, make it so helpful for when I find myself with a similar problem and I can apply those steps to solve it. I truly appreciate the people that made this app, it make my life a lot easier.

It’s even better than it was a couple of years ago and it can solve much more equations. However, since you’re constantly looking to make the app better there’s a tiny problem. I was looking for a second thought on a logarithmic equation in which a base of the logarith was squared and the app couldn’t solve it.

So this app has a pretty cool concept. I think it’s really helpful for homework where you don’t even remember the steps on how to do the problem and this little guy basically becomes a solution mannual. The only issue is PLEASE IMPLEMENT CALCULUS NOTATION! I would looove it since calculus is hard and we also need help! I think a lot more students would use this as a helpful resource if more notations were implemented.

The homework machine is here, but it’s not quite ready yet… I have dreamed of the day where computers could do my homework for years, and PhotoMath is great start to getting there. It’s lack of handwriting recognition is key to achieving that goal, and I hope to see more math problems be able to be solved by this app in the future.
