This would end up costing more if I buy all the role stories. Just like the original Puzzle Quest you pick your roll at the beginning of the game and go from there. Unfortunately, there are only a few levels available for free, after that you have to buy the rest of your characters story. Each characters story is sold separately all together costing more than the Puzzle Quest cost for the Nintendo DS originally. I did not like the game enough to do the in-app purchase. Partially because the App would take a good amount of time to start up each time and it was not as easy to jump in and out easily.

Puzzle combat is sweet. The map is a drag on game play. I’m not looking for plot but that was a design choice. The implementation is solid.
