I love Paris and generally find the metro extremely efficient. However on the 7 September while travelling from Pompidou centre en route to opera I was accosted by an inspector for my ticket which when I gave it to him he said was NOT validated and I had to pay on the spot 33 euros. I asked him why was it not validated as I had come through the turnstile (and at 74 years of age cannot jump the turnstile!!). He did not reply except to say ‘pay now’. My concerns are firstly I cannot understand why my ticket was not validated and secondly what a bad ambassador for Paris the inspector was. I hope RATP read this and ensure
Great if you use railway mode only. But if u take a bus it doesn’t work properly. You could wait far more than stated. Nevertheless very very helpful
Quite handy even for more adventurous ones This app provides a lot info about the public transit. I liked it for that, but on the other hand, it’s a total lottery regarding buses. Sometimes they arrive on schedule, but more likely not. Related to that, the transport type filter desperately misses to rule out the buses completely. The buses are simply unreliable (not app’s fault, Paris’ street traffic is a mess) and one would appreciate a more reliable navigation (using all other remaining means of transportation), even offering longer walks.
