Now for Reddit user reviews :

Been using this app for a number of years and it’s easily the best reddit client and it puts the official one to shame. Very nice clean and fast ui. Only problem I have is the scroll bar doesn’t always work when composing a comment unless you post the comment then edit it. It’s well worth paying the very reasonable sub to both support the dev and avoid the horrible official app. Easy 5 stars from me.

My daily driver for reading Reddit posts, nice and lightweight. Had some bugs here and there, but most can be attributed to Reddits greedy ways. Gladly pay the low monthly cost to avoid the official app which sucks.

  • Hi Tony, you may need to remove all accounts from the app and then login to the reddit website to revoke the app access. If you then try logging in again that should fix it. You will need to add each account again though. Hope that helps.

UPDATE- A shame so man blame the dev for charging a subscription thanks to last year’s massive API price hike that blindsided third parties. There was no better alternative other than to simply go under. Still a great app, but it’s up to the individual as to whether the cost is worth it. ORIGINAL- Easily the best Android app for Reddit. Unlike some of the other more bare-bones competitors out there, this one is fully featured and well designed. I also prefer its style and layout.

Reddit Now had a bit of a rough patch a few months back. At which point I stopped using it because images frequently failed to load and it had become a rather slow app. Since then they have fixed everything and after trying it out again the past few weeks I really love it again and will never switch if it remains this stable!

  • Hi Eric, controlling GIFs is actually now easier. When a GIF is playing tap the overflow menu on the top right of the screen (or your menu button of your phone has one) and select ‘video controls’ from the drop menu. Now the controls will always display and let you stop, pause etc. Hope that helps.

This app struggles to keep feature parity. It’s nearly impossible to moderate using this app, for one. It’s also difficult to manage subscribed subs. But, most problematic is that it’s increasingly more difficult to view media. The last straw was today when I clicked on a Reddit hosted gallery to find that the app freezes my Pixel 3 XL. This has been a problem for a while, but today was my breaking point. I moved it from 5 to 3 stars and uninstalled.

  • Hi Matt, might be too late but there’s an update going out tomorrow which fixes this issue affecting a small number of people. Apologies.

the problem seems to have been mostly resolved. i no longer accidentally click on banners, albeit the glitch that caused it still remains. would love “long press to save image” or some such. saving images is a serious hassle. would save image hoarders immense amounts of time. brilliant app. too bad reddit is in steady decline..

  • Hi, which buttons are they covering? I wasn’t aware ads were appearing with a slight delay. It’s not something we have planned, ads appear once they’ve loaded and may load after the image is displayed. As for covering buttons, would you mind sending us a screenshot? If it’s a bug with your device we’ll fix asap. Thanks.

Been using this app for a very very long time, for 6 years +, and I love it. No complaints at all, just been seeing this app improve and improve throughout the years. Only thing I would ask for would be having more theme options, and have some more colour options, visually the app is pretty basic regarding the color options so that would be a welcome additions. Thanks for all the hard work !
