[Game] Rikudo

Rikudo is a logic puzzle game which is easy to understand but can be very hard to solve.

The goal is to find a path of consecutive numbers in a honeycomb grid with hexagonal cells. Each puzzle is a number maze with a unique solution.

Like Sudoku and Suguru, Rikudo is an addictive number placement puzzle mainly about logic. However what makes Rikudo special is its visual and intuitive nature.

I really hate numbers. I have discalculia and most games involving numbers (besides this and Sudoku basically) gives me anxiety over just trying to cope with the numbers. This simple counting game is fun, dynamic, simple yet challenging, and I never stress. I can easily walk away when my name is called at the Dr or dissolve for a couple hours while at the dog park. Pay for ad free mostly because it supports developers! As the spouse of an independent developer it’s always great to see someone pay those extra couple dollars. It means they really like the game.

Really great and addicting game, I really recommend downloading it if you’re a fan of Rikudo. I’ve only got two small problems with it: 1. It has some problems in the number predicting logic (which number to put where you press). The logic is good but it needs some tweaking, cause sometimes it doesn’t know to put the obvious choise. 2. The gameplay itself – it is fun in it’s own way, but I don’t feel like I play Rikudo when I’m using the app, it feels like a slightly different experience – mostly because of the ‘binding dot’ that exists in a small amount of the Hexagons. Although, the different experience is still fun in its own way.

Pros: good thinking game, simple rules Cons: you can sometimes place the wrong number if you don’t carefully select what number to build off of (though this is possibly more my fault than the developer’s) Overall: fun, free puzzle game. Well made, decent interface. I’d recommend to someone who has an intellectual itch to scratch.

Really wish that it would count all patterns instead of only one specific pattern. It really runs an otherwise fun game, especially in higher levels. Makes it not worth keeping the game.
