Really impressed with this indie game. If you like “Slay the Spire” – this game has the same structure. It’s not as balanced, but it’s not quite as punishing if you make a mistake or rng doesn’t work in your favor (at least at lower difficulty levels). Lots to unlock and the dev has been pretty diligent with updates that improve the game. Of note: I bought the ad-free unlock. Definitely worth it, considering the content and what I’d pay for a movie or similar PC game.
This game is so fun and addicting. I love that there are different “classes” and cards. They could use some tweaking tho, since some classes are far superior than others. Another problem is cards that makes you immune to damage, you still take shield damage despite being “immune”.
This game is great. Simple concept but still a lot of fun. So much so, I actually spent the $10 to support the devs. A few notes for the devs: 1. Can you increase the font size on the shield indicators? I have “not so great” vision and it can be hard to see. 2. Can you decrease the distance to drag and drop cards? Seems like a lot of real estate wasted when everything can just be scaled up for a tighter experience. 3. I’ll throw my vote in to bring back the automatic end turn.
I think this game is a lot of fun, and the best rogue-lite card-combat game I’ve played. I’ve only noticed two issues: I can’t disable the music but keep the sound effects, and it crashes and locks up quite often. It locks or crashes at approximately 15 minutes intervals. The auto-save is great, though, so I continue the game and pick up in exactly the same state as where it crashed. I think if it didn’t crash, the content would be worth paying for the ad-free, future-updates version.
As far as mobile deck builders go, this game is incredible. If you are willing to pay the $9.99 to remove adds, then the game feels comparable to a console based game. More than happy with my purchase. Well made game, excellent replayability. Honestly, I’m very impressed. While it has in app purchases, they are absolutely not required and you wont miss any content.
I really enjoy the skill and deck building. Some of the elites and bosses feel a little too strong against certain builds. Like, I had a build based around Fairies giving me stat buffs, but against the last boss, it’s nearly impossible to win with a deck like that. The various classes are interesting and well designed.
This game truly gives a roguelike experience coming down to combat, skills to unlock, and where you spend your resources. Some of classes feel so good, but others give a real challenge, to the point of being unfair, no matter how good a run you have leading up to the boss. It doesn’t seem like the starting bonus to choose from works every time, and that can be a real bother. With minimum ads, and no real forcing of paying money, this game is quite the gem
Omg! This game is awesome! Yes visually is not very impressive, but it’s my type of game! I’ve been hooked on ‘Slay the Spire’ and that’s so very close to it. A hint for developers, add visual effects when selecting a level and also when enemies attack. The defense is really tiny. I guess it’s still a Beta version, but it’s awesome already!! Well done guys, keep up the good work! Totally hooked!
