Great step forward, however not accessible enough for target audience. Like many people with actual hearing issues, I use Bluetooth enabled hearing aids. This service requires the use of wired headphones. You can immediately see how this becomes a problem. Whilst I would love to be able to use my phone as a remote mic, and would rate this 5 stars otherwise, the convenience of having to remove one’s hearing aids, and plug in and equip wired headphones unfortunately completely negates any benfit
For those unable to find the app, it doesnt show up in the nav drawer. It’s within the accessibility page in settings as this is an accessibility service like TalkBack. Works a treat on my Pixel 3 with the dang dongle. Would be nice if this worked with BT headphones as well.
its meant for ppl who are hard of hearing. not a music addon. it works with USB type C earphones. for those morons who say google doesn’t have a headphone jack. shows how damn stupid this generation is.
Download succeeds but the app does not show up on my phone. Some kind of region limitations?
Feature works like a charm. I noticed that when the phone is locked, the volume can’t be changed by pressing the volume buttons. Please resolve the issue.
