textra is an awesome app to replace the default SMS app. It has plenty of features but is still light weight. I have never had to delete any messages on my phone since performance has never dropped. I love the customisation options and how easy they are to use. Other apps often feel really cluttered and try to jam in every frature possible, but Textra’s best feature is how sleek and clean in looks. Exactly what you want your messaging app to feel like.

Bug:in my Xiaomi brand smartphone “redmi s2”, notification sound of receiving SMS remains silencd despite enabling all possible options both in Textra and my phone settings. Just its a perfect app….Super customizable with excellent performance. So far i have used about all top android messages apps but textra is no.1. No one until this day have won competition from textra in terms of quality and performance! Bravo Textra Team

  • Thanks Muhammad. Typically, your device has prevented Textra from playing sound by default. Pls change it in your Android General Settings – Notifications and Status Bar.
Great in most areas, except… There’s not enough vibrate pattern options. Short is too short, short multiple is too many. Long single and multiple last way too long. Maybe incorporate a slider for vibrate length or add a medium option. Other than vibrate options, textra is lightweight and fast, gets the job done. UI is a bit outdated.

Awesome app! Best replacement for stock messenger! Went pro! Best messaging app period! Had no problems with it ever nor did I think twice about going pro! Android O.S. 4.4 KitKat LG Sunrise

The app is honestly the most gorgeous messaging app I’ve ever used. It is almost fully functional except that when I get a message on my watch, I cannot view the conversation. It only shows the recent unread text messages. 5 stars if that’s added.
