Timelog – Track your habits

[App] Timelog – Productivity, time, and goal tracker

Timelog is a productivity, time, and goal tracker for your habits. Track your habits, set goals, and gain insights on how you spend your time.

Timelog helps you stick with your habits and become more productive by tracking habits, or any activities, such as:

Reading or writing
Exercise and meditation
Studying and exam preparation
Work and projects
Learning new languages
Playing music
and everything else!

Timelog has several features to help you track and analyze how you spend your time:

Timers such as a stopwatch, countdown timer, and Pomodoro timer
Useful charts to visualize how you spend your time, as well as statistics
View all time tracked in a timeline or calendar view
Ability to set daily, weekly, or monthly goals for each activity so you can stay motivated
Streaks feature so you can see your current and longest streaks for activities with daily goals
Trends and goal completion prediction charts for weekly and monthly goals based on current pace
Activity reminders to repeat daily or on specific days
Available in both light and dark mode

Why Timelog?
Timelog is different from other “traditional” habit trackers. It allows you to track the time you spend on each habit to help you increase your productivity, reach your goals, and stick with your habits for good. It was built with the following methodologies in mind.

You have more time than you think
By tracking your time you are more mindful about how you spend your time, and you can allocate your time according to your goals and priorities. Timelog combines both habit and time tracking to help you achieve this.

Focus on systems, not goals
Rather than setting specific goals, such as reading one book every week, you should be aiming to spend more time on the habits that will help you achieve that target, for example, reading for five hours a week. A system is all about continuous refinement and improvement that leads to marginal gains and progress.

Timelog helps you develop better systems by allowing you to set daily, weekly, or monthly goals to ensure you spend time doing things that matter to you, so you can achieve your long-term goals.

We would love to hear any feedback you might have or if you think something is missing from the app!

Timelog user reviews :

I have a suggestion. It would be great if it shows the percentage of time completed. Suppose I set the goal for 2 hours and completed 30 minutes. Which means I completed 25% of goal. App will show 1hr 30 min remaining for the goal. On the right side of the Circle it’s better to show percentage.

  • Thank you for the feedback. There are plans to make the activity cards more detailed, and showing a percentage is part of this plan. So hopefully it will be in one of the next updates! (or otherwise it might be an option to show percentage instead of current streak)
I am in love with this app’s idea and clean UI however I am having a hard time figuring out how to change the category of an activity or even rename created categories. Is there something I am missing? Also, I would like to see new features in the future, for instance: 1-An easy way to import my data to the app, 2-I would like to create a goal to limit the time I am spending on a certain activity, 3-The app can read Arabic unlike the CSV file that the app creates. Thanks for your efforts.

  • Thank you for the review! You can change a category by editing the activity, and edit a category by long pressing it in the selection dropdown. Please reach out at support[at]timelog.link if you have more feedback, curious about how you’d like to import data as there is already backup and restore functionality!
It was a pretty good app in my experience, but I just updated it and it will no longer allow me to open the app. I will bump my review up to 5 stars once this is resolved. Edit: They updated it four days after I posted this, and it’s functional now. I use this app to track nearly all of the work I do, along with art projects, so I’m very glad to have it up and running once again. Thank you for the quick responses!

  • Thanks for reporting this! Update: the app should no longer crash as of version 2.2.4. Let me know if you’re still having issues!
This is a well designed app that can track time committed to an activity and predefine goals. The reports it provides uses a better layout than most of the other apps I’ve tried and I think it’s priced reasonably.
