With some phones in power saving mode or with almost empty battery the IR blaster might not work or range is less then 5ft (2 meters).

Easy-to-use less ads I had that sonyfy app it has an ad every 3rd click . This one used it for a day and I haven’t noticed any ads . It just works, no hassle. when I paired it the keyboard didn’t pop up right away but I mashed around and it showed up. No biggie. Like I said, easy, responsive, and ya don’t have to have your remote to pair it. Turns tv on and off too. Running it on a newer Bravia 60in 2021. less issues than I have with the factory remote. It’s so frustrating.. So when I downloaded this app and it immediately connected to my TV I was thrilled! This is probably the most useful app on my phone now. And I love that I’m not bombarded by adverts, I hope it’s not just a grace period.
Good app, and works well, although takes a few seconds to load. Dear Dev, Please can you make an ad-free version of this? I absolutely hate the ads on it, and they come up at the worst of times. I’d be happy to pay (within reason) for an ad-free version, I don’t know why this wasn’t implemented straight away. Please, I beg you. Also, while you’re at it, widget fucntionality would be absolutely peng as well, obviously that’s a bigger endeavour, so it’s cool if not.
Thank you — this is a terrific remote control. Worked perfectly on a 10 or 15 year old Sony Bravia when I misplaced the remote. I haven’t seen any ads at all. The app doesn’t claim to be ad-free (the dev says there won’t be more than one or two per hour) but even that rate of advertising is much fewer than most remote control apps. The GUI is simple and intuitive — a ringer for the missing remote. It doesn’t appear to run in the background or consume any resources. Superb.
Works perfectly! After my dog broke the remote, thinking it was a chew toy, I couldnt turn on the TV or raise the volume. I remembered that I used to use my phone as a remote years ago so I decided to look on Google play. This app is exactly how my remote was and it works better than when I had the remote. I will say this, if you are using more than one phone, the phone you currently use will need to be “reconnected”. Other than that 5 stars!
Small, & easily set up, and it’s very like the actual physical remote. BUT the ads are VERY annoyingly intrusive – ads pop up, covering the whole screen; ad-free, is NOT an option. When you wish to use the app, you have to wait through an entire ad before the app is usable again, way past the point you wanted to pause, or whatever. The app is good enough that I would pay for ad-free. However, as it’s not an available option, I shall have to find another app.
The good: if you set a static IP for your TV, it will work every time without fail. The bad: it takes an unreasonable amount of time to load a full screen ad every single time you open the app. Need to turn the volume down quickly? Nah, you need 6-10 seconds for the app to load, close it, then do your thing. I would gladly pay too much to get rid of ads in this app
The remote works as advertised and is easy to connect. However, if you use this app as a television remote on a touchscreen device, services of HULU(or, I assume, any app with the same action requirement) you will realize that there is no way to access the details or select an episode in the “Keep Watching” list because the screen will not register a button held down. This is a fairly big problem for me and makes menu navigation unnecessarily tedious.
All the button works perfectly on my Sony Tv like a real remote control. Love this app.. Tq so much..
