You can find videos to watch by doing a visual and audio search using your smartphone or by typing a query directly into the app. You can also follow your friends to see what they’re watching or get great recommendations from trending topics. Find what you like and watch it right from your mobile phone, plus easily share with your friends on Facebook and Twitter. The VideoSurf Video Discovery app is your complete video experience for mobile.

V-ID:
Discover videos by simply pointing your phone at a television or computer screen to capture a few seconds of what you’re watching. The VideoSurf mobile application quickly identifies the episode and celebrities, provides more information about what was identified and suggests other videos to watch.

We currently index over 75 channels, including all major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX), other popular networks (ESPN, USA, TBS, TNT, CNN, MTV, VH1, etc.) and premium channels (HBO, Showtime and Starz!). As we are expanding our coverage, we do not index local programming yet.

MySurfs
Powerful, personalized video recommendations based on what you like, what you watch and the friends you follow. The more you watch and the more friends you follow, the more tailored your recommendations will become.

Search
Find the videos you want to watch by typing your query into the search box and we’ll bring back the most relevant selections from our expansive collection of videos from the thousands of sources across the web we search. Search for your favorite TV shows, movie titles, celebrities, sports teams or topics to find great videos to watch right on your phone.

Profile
Your personalized News Feed for video. It’s a custom channel just for you built from your friend’s searches, viewing and commenting activity and recommendations.

You’ll find the most popular videos, TV shows, movie clips, sports highlights, news clips, viral videos and more in our Trends section. You’ll also see the users that are most popular to follow in the VideoSurf community.

Note to Verizon Wireless users:

The Videosurf application currently comes preloaded on all Verizon Android phones. The current version of the Android
does not allow users to uninstall any preloaded application. Google will be releasing a new version of Android in the next few months. This new version will allow users to better manage, even remove, preloaded applications they don’t plan to use.

Yet another “mandatory” crap-app forced on users od Verizons phones. My previous android phone (Droid2) had a couple of factory apps that were useless. My new Droid4 has WAY TOO MANY. Please allow those of us who PAY FOR OUR PHONES to choose our own “non-mandatory” apps.
