WeatherBomb user reviews :

Awesome For Weather Buffs!!! Your app deserves more than 5 stars! This baby has been one of my my go-to apps! I’m a weather nerd and have 15 weather apps and love analyzing the details in this! So far this year we’ve had 3 winter storms and this app gave me a heads-up a week ahead!! I like comparing it to the meteorologist’s forecasts with what I interpret with this. I use it in conjunction with my other apps but this one is among the top 3 that I own! Great work! *a bug in an update sometimes hides the wind gust data from the NOAA data after I switch from the GDPS, therefore prompting to close and reopen the app (a minor annoyance all things considered).

  • Thanks for the enthusiastic comments Jeff. Feel free to email me about the bug. We can collect logs and find the problem. Glad you enjoy the app. Sorry about the slow development. I’m hoping to pick it up soon. BTW, nice lightning video. It would be amazing at 120 or 240 fps you can get on phones today. My dad was hit by lightning. Cheers, Duane.
Love It Has been my go-to WX application, but crashes without hesitation each time I try to open it. I will send another report for assurance. Don’t want to lose a great app like this.

  • Hi Brandon, thanks for being positive about the bug. I think you’re the first reviewer to have serious bug and still rate WeatherBomb 5 stars. I’ll work on this bug this afternoon. If you send me an email via feedback in the menu, I can send you a beta version to test the bug is fixed (and maybe with an extra surprise in it). Cheers, Duane
Amazing. One of the better weather apps for weather enthusiasts. A simple interface with easy controls and very useful information. It needs some improvement, though. I would love to have pressure data showed with isobars rather than color scales, and the wind arrows are not very clear. Being able to show multiple variables in the same map (e.g. precipitation in colour, pressure in lines) would also be incredibly useful.

  • Thanks for the comment Elio. Yeah, isobars are on my todo list but are hard to implement, but I have one idea to try. I also have an idea to improve the wind arrows. And coming in the next 1 or 2 releases is layers, so you can have rain on top of clouds or pressure. Cheers, Duane.

Last Update February 4, 2019 :

Apologies for the small hiatus. A bit of “life” happened. Hopefully, this is the start of much development.

New Data: Added snow to GFS, GDPS, NAM and HRRR. Edit place to add snow.

New Widget Tweak: you can set the number of graphs or data source in widgets. “Auto” is the current behaviour.

Updated a lot of libraries.

More bug fixin’
