[Game] WordCrex – The fair word game

WordCrex is the challenging, fair and very popular Scrabble variant!

Do you have a feeling for language? Do you always see the best scoring word. Does this sound good? Then WordCrex is your word game!

Each turn you get seven letters. Your challenge is to form words and score as many points as possible. The exciting thing is that your opponent has the same seven letters and also tries to score as many points as possible!

Can you beat your opponent with the same letters?

For example
The letters to play are: R N I W S E N
You play WINNERS and get 134 points.
Your opponent plays WIRES and gets 47 points.
You win this turn!
WINNERS is placed on the game board and the next turn begins.
So, the player who has scored the most points using the same seven letters wins. And that’s fair!

You play a game of WordCrex with two, three or four players.

WordCrex is played in more than 20 languages worldwide!

The two available English dictionaries are SOWPODS and TWL

The initial bugs are gone. So yes I’m a happy player once again. I don’t like the fact that so many stats are locked, but I understand the need for this app to generate some money. So I don’t mind watching videos to unlock some desired stats.

Beste Wim. De app is nu beter en sneller en uiteraard werken we er hard aan om de app zonder bugs te krijgen. Hoop dat dat snel zelfs goed genoeg voor jou is en een upgrade van de recensie waardig.

Not happy with the updated version. I have lost my running games and contacts (I know you warned for this but still.. can you not create an update with this data migrated?) But also : I had paid for the add-free version and now I have adds again?? Come on!

Hi Nele, When you go to your profile and press Restore Premium thet ads will dissapear if you already paid for it and use the same way to log in. Hopefully you are much happier with the latest version (2.0.27). Best regards, WordCrex

I like it. Just recently purchased the no ads. The board reminds kind of like word feud. But it’s cool that you can change board colors.

I play the Dutch game. I do need to look up sometimes why it accepts some words that can’t be found in online dictionaries which are accepted. Gad and Ges are two. (points total do get displayed when a word is accepted) some Dutch words are not accepted and some English are. Unless Queen has recently become a Dutch word, idk. It’s something nice to keep up with family with and it’s free. Give it a try!

Dear Mathew thank you for the nice review. Dictionaries will always be a matter of discussion. We try te deliver the best experience with interactive dictionaries or the best available (Van Dale Dutch). Interactive in the scence that you can send suggestions that will be considered and if accepted added to the dictionary.

Plus points: A brilliant concept that actually expands on the original Scrabble gameplay. Minus points: Impossible to determine who is holding up play in 3 and 4 player games which could be remedied by time clock and zero points for anybody not playing their turn. My Huawei tablet is not enlarging the size of the board in comparison to other 10″ tablets. Very clunky interface which does not let you delete games. English dictionary or word database suspect as it does not allow words that are real

Is a fun game but not worth buying. Too many errors and flaws, poor tracking of high scores and stats. Constant crashing and unfair dictionary acceptances where the opponent gets words accepted you aren’t yourself.

Thank you for your review Bert Schenkius. The issues you describe are often together with an instable internet connection. This obviously effects the performance of the app. Still we are always improving the performance and hope that with our next update you will find reasons to give us some more stars with your reviewed review

Fun way to keep in contact with my family back home and keep my Dutch up. App works well even when your internet is not great.

This is an interesting take on Scrabble. I like this game a lot. More incentive to make better words. Good customer service.
