Great for ear training! I wish there was a way to get notifications to train every day, and a way to set a goal for how long you want to train. Plus, maybe some kind of daily practice streak feature. Like “You’ve practiced for 10 minutes 10 days in a row!”
WHY are the answers so small? Font sizes are free people, get dangerous. Or maybe flash the screen green or red. Get crazy, make it obvious when we get it right or wrong. It’s not a secret, we wont get mad. I promise!. Good program though, wish it had interval based reminders to make sure we keep what we learn in our brains. Lol. Audio is quality. Interface is simple and clean. But the results….well…kinda hard to see.
Quite well done and definitely helpful. I wish it was possible to set a push message reminder though — I would like to practice daily but often forget about it.
I like it very much. It’s challenging and I can confirm it is helping me to develop my hearing skills. I’ve been using it for 3 weeks and I’m definitely improving. It would be great if there was an option to adjust the range of notes in the exercises, meaning an option to study low, middle or high register.

When I first used Complete Ear Trainer, I realized how useful the app is, and bought Complete Music Reading Trainer as well. Then, the device I was using broke, and it was a few months before I installed Complete Ear Trainer again. The very first time I used it in three months, I scored 100%. A great program, fun and definitely worth the investment. Each module builds on previous listening practices, so new skills continue to be utilized, while engaging with different tones. Complete Ear Trainer is a great way to develop yourself as a musician, and gain confidence when playing with others with no sheet music. Though I don’t have perfect pitch, I was able to tune my guitar to fourths, after restringing it, without a tuner. I’m sure you will enjoy the application.
I’ve recently begun learning the guitar again, after having not played for many years. This app is helping greatly in ear training exercises. The chapters are well thought out and the controls are simple and intuitive. I especially like that you can replay various combinations of intervals as you go, to be able to know and correct your ‘sounds’. One of those apps you certainly don’t mind having paid for!
Really excellent. I’ve been using this app, as well as the rhythm trainer and music reading app, for several months. The progressive design of the lessons is great, and keeps you in the challenging-but-not impossible zone of optimum learning, and it’s very satisfying to move onto the next level. Occasionally frustrating, but that goes with the territory. Nice clear UI design too.
