To use Google Text-to-speech Engine on your Android device, go to Settings > Language & Input > Text-to-speech output. Select Google Text-to-speech Engine as your preferred engine.

This is the first time it’s been available in the App Store For those who are wondering what the new update is, it is that this is the first time that this application has been available separately of Android and then put in the Google Play Store. For example on the Galaxy Note 3, this application is not available by default, only the crappy built-in Samsung voice is. Now, for the first time, this application can be accessed by anyone

Thank You Google I couldn’t believe that my sweet Galaxy Note 3 didn’t have Google Speech Synthesis! The Samsung offering sounds awful. Now I have my familiar Google girl back! WISH LIST: Male voice option
