At first start a small base system is downloaded – desired packages can then be installed using the apt package manager. Access the built-in help by long-pressing anywhere on the terminal and selecting the Help menu option to learn more.

The perfect terminal app. Best features are the inbuilt package manager and the virtual file system. But is it possible to add up down keys, where the CTRL ALT TAB keys are there in the keyboard. Using volume buttons are little difficult in some situations.
I’m a Unix/Linux guy from way back, so it’s really nice to be able to run all the standard GNU tools, LaTex, etc. on my Chromebook. It’s also way easier to write programs for my personal use in Python or C instead of having to mess with Android Studio. This app was a real life-changer for me!
Lookup Volume Key usage, package managers, text editors. Can install SSH if you would like to sync music, files or transfer backups to storage devices while pretending to engage in trivial conversations with other members of the human race. Escape with python at pagan celebrations, or wedding anniversaries.
This is awesome! I’m not sure how it works or what to use it for but I love it anyway. If there was one thing that would improve this, it would be to have an optional “tablet UI” with a tab bar at the top, as it’s a little inconvenient to access the side bar with a mouse.
This app just saved me from “upgrading” to a new development machine when my old one met its… maker? That doesn’t seem right, I think that would mean I had it fixed it, which didn’t happen. My web browsing chromebook has been transformed into just what I need to mess around with a few scripts, thank you!
